5 ~ Octavia

Imagine getting a nightmare and Octavia comes to comfort you.

Thrashing around you woke with a start, breathing heavy and clutching the blanket close to your chest.

The nightmare that had played in your head was possibly the worst one you'd endured. You couldn't think of a darker thing to think about.

You had already had a rough day and now with this nightmare you knew you weren't going to get any sleep tonight with it burrowing around your brain.

You laid back on your pillow again, leaving your arms out and letting them cool down as you stared up at the stars through the skylight in the tent.

Rubbing your face you got up, put shoes and a jacket on before getting out of your tent.

Surprisingly, a fire was still glowing. A body sat in front of it, slouched and seemed to be doing something with their hands.

You walked slowly, soon recognizing the figure as Octavia you sat down beside her. Octavia was stared slightly by your presence, but then saw the look on your face and stopped what she was doing.

"You okay?" She asked.

You shrugged. "Had a nightmare."

She gave you a look, "wanna talk about it?." She took your hand in hers, giving it a comforting squeeze.

"Not really," you shook your head, "I just really want to sleep."

You laid your head on her shoulder, mentally thanking her for not moving away from your gesture.

"Come on, let's go back to your tent." Octavia said after a few minutes. You had actually managed to almost doze off in those few minutes.

You followed her to your tent, taking your shoes off before going inside. Octavia followed after you. You shrugged your jacket off and jumped back into your bed.

Octavia looked a little awkward, it showed on her face. You didn't want to sleep alone, too afraid of the nightmares coming back.

"Can you lay with me? Just until I fall asleep." You pleaded, giving the dark haired girl a bit of comfort.

She took her jacket off as well and shuffled into bed with you. You faced each other, staring into each other's eyes in silence.

You then turned around to have your back facing her, you started to calm your breathing. Octavia then wrapped her arms around your waist tightly, pulling you to her before taking one of your hands and intertwining it with her own.

"Thank you." You whispered before feeling yourself fall asleep, comforted in her arms.

The next morning you woke still in the arms of Octavia, but was burrowed into her body tightly.

Somehow you'd managed to completely turn over and lay your head in her chest, hugging her waist as hers were around your shoulders. It was very comfortable and soothing to you.

You didn't want to move, but only to stay like this for a while and not wake her. But Octavia was already awake.

"How you feeling?" She whispered.

"No more nightmares. Thank you." You whispered back.

Octavia smiled as she looked down at you, loosening her arms so you're able to do the same.

She slowly brings her lips to your forehead, giving you a kiss before hugging you tightly with a sigh.

"Can we just lay here for a while?" You asked.

Octavia giggled lightly before nodding and closing her eyes, you doing the same and just enjoying her company.
