Andy had enough and she knew no one would ever accept their love, they would always find out. And Andy knew she wouldn't love anyone else like Alec, if they wanted them to leave then they'll get exactly that.
She watched Alec rush around the kitchen trying to pack pots and pans.
She ambled into the bathroom and opened up the medicine cabinet.
Her mother's pills still remained in the cabinet. After the divorce her mother had problems sleeping alone so she just took sleeping pills to allow her nights to be peaceful.
Andy's hand clasped onto the bottle and stuffed them into the pocket in her sweatshirt.
She glanced at Alec who still had loud pots and pans banging around in the kitchen which made it easy for Andy to slip the front door open.
Goodbye Alec, I'm lucky I had something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
