Dan's POV
From Phil's room I can hear the door quietly shut, well quietly compared to the yelling from before. After the door is shut, I can hear Phil sobbing from the hall.
What if he blacks out again?
Should I say something?
Will he hear?
As I'm debating this, I hear him call out my name.
I turn up the volume on his phone and clear my throat.
"Phil? Phil, I'm here."
I can hear him shuffle up a wall, he must have been on the ground. He then walks into view where I can see the effects Chris has on him. His beautiful eyes are filled with sadness, the whites turning slightly red, making his ocean-like irises pop even more.
"I-I think I just need to go somewhere else."
Without thinking I speak. My image as an electronic assistant must have already been altered in his mind. I doubt that he believes my cover-up anyways.
"I understand. This place is filled with negativity right now."
I look up as his head nods carefully.
"Let's go out and think for a while."
"Y'know I've never been to tower bridge"
I've been there. It's beautiful, I'm sure it'll clear Phil's mind.
"I can get you directions, don't worry Phil."
My heart thuds as I pull up the page for him. This will definitely make him feel better.
*****
"You've arrived Phil!" I say with a smile that I know he can't see.
"Thanks Dan, you're great"
The view is great from here and I'm sure once we get back to his flat he'll feel completely better. Tower Bridge is enchanting really. The view is amazing, off in the distance, and even directly below you, you hear the busy cars, see the busy lights. Yet somehow, you're in your own little world when you're at the top. It feels like you're all alone, only with the water far below you. I could barely look down when I went because it was terrifying to see how high up you stood.
It was terrifying to see how high up you stood.
"Phil?!"
"Phil no!"
I look through the camera and see the water below and almost vomit.
"Phil please we need to leave."
Through the rushing wind I somehow make out his voice.
"Why should I leave here, Dan."
"I belong down there!" he sobs
"Phil listen to me please. How is your mom going to feel when she finds out that you're missing?! How is Martyn going to cope with it when someone finds your body in the goddamn water?!"
"They don't care, Dan." he scoffs " The only one that seems to care is--"
He stops and kicks the railing.
"Who?! Phil I need to kno-"
"You, okay?! You're not even a real person and you're what I've been living for."
"Phil, I am real! I'm human, and I love you!"
Phil's POV
"Phil, I am real! I'm human, and I love you!"
My body is engulfed in a falling sensation and the water below appears to be rapidly approaching. My breathing increases and my vision gets hazy. Before I can feel the impact of the cold, dark water below, I black out like the liquid running beneath me.
