Chapter 27

Laken

"No babe, you have to turn it the other way, facing away from the front." I said to a confused Austin.

"Are you sure? I thought they were facing the front in that one movie we watched the other nig-"

"They were older, now please trust me when I say they car seat faces away from us."

His hands go up in surrender," Alright, alright whatever you say. Your wish is my command babe!"

I smile as I tighten the strap on Liberty's car seat, and double check Heath's. Heath smiles brightly at me while Liberty yawns. She was definitely a sleepy girl, that was for sure.

Looking up I see that Austin has finally got Jace's car seat right, and he smiles giving me a thumbs up. Giggling I close the door to the Tahoe and jump in the passenger seat.

Austin turns back to face the babies and happily asks," Ready to go home kids?"

It was like the sound of cricks, but there was some shuffling around, which he took as a yes.

"Your dad's a weirdo kids." I say airily, "hopefully it's not a gene you inherited."

As if agreeing, Heath coos happily making me laugh.

It felt good to be going home. And the fact we were all together was even better.

When we finally arrived back at the pack house, we were showered with shouts of congratulations, and hugs. The babies were cooed upon and our mothers got ahold of them first. Everyone in the pack came to the pack house and a party began in no time.

I probably ate more than anyone there considering I was starved from that gross hospital food.

Austin dared to laugh at me as I started my third plate.

"Baby slow down! "

"No, I'm starving!" I said in a whiny voice.

He only smiled brighter and kissed my cheek,"Thank you, for making me happy, and loving me, and giving me the three most beautiful kids in the world! I can't wait to have more!"

"Your welcome.. But I think three is a good number for now." I say elbowing him in the ribs.

He pouted playfully before slapping my butt, "We'll see about that love." He winks before walking away to get more food.

I scoff, we'll see about that after he changes a few diapers. Shaking my head I went to sit by my brother who was holding Liberty, and Kassy.

"You know I kinda like kids Kass.. I think they're cute." Nate was dropping hints like crazy.

"Yeah they are but you're not getting one." She says a matter of factly, taking a bite of her food.

Nate pouts and continues to bounce Liberty in his arms. Mumbling under his breathe about making it happen. Ignoring him I grab my baby giving her a kiss on her head, "Go find another one I say playfully."

Kassy giggles as I walk off, making Nate grumble some more and walk off towards my mother, who was holding Heath. Yeah good luck buddy, I thought to myself. For I had already tried to pry Heath from my mother's grasps and it wasn't going to work for him either.

As I sat in the nearest available chair, I couldn't help but feel elated as I looked over my pack. We were all happy, nothing bad was happening, just good.

Seven Months Later

"No, no Heath put that down. I told you not to touch that!" It was tiring, chasing around three seven month old babies all day.

Heath was always getting into stuff, Liberty always wanted to crawl every where, but Jace wasn't that bad. Every once in awhile he would cry or throw something when he was angry, but all in all he was the most calm baby ever.

At the moment Heath was trying to grab books off of the book shelf. Each time I got on to him, he would just smile and reach back for it.

Jace however came to my rescue and began yelling at Heath. Heath in turn frowned "Mine!"

Austin claimed it was alpha side kicking in when he claimed things, I honestly wasn't very happy with it.

Jace slapped his legs in anger "No!"

It made made me want to cry when they had first started to speak. Heath's first word was Dada, Liberty's was also dada, but Jace's first word was momma. I had burst into tears when I first heard it, happy tears of course, but at the same time they were sad, because my babies were growing up to fast. Austin however loved it, boasting to everyone about their first words.

Jace was a Momma's boy, Heath and Liberty were obviously Daddy's kids. It didn't bother me though I was happy either way.

Just then the front door flew open and in walked Austin. Liberty immediately squealed and crawled as quickly as she could to get to him first. Austin scooped her up in no time, peppering her face with kisses.

"Dada, dada, dada" she babbled over and over again as she patted his cheeks.

"Muah, muah, I missed you baby girl! Did you miss me too? And what about my other babies?" Austin bent down as Heath finally reached him as well.

It was the same process over again. I smiled but then frowned as I saw Jace hadn't moved, but chose to look on disinterested. Instead he looked back down at his toy, before crawling over into my lap.

Austin frowned, before walking over to us, hands full of kids. Sitting down beside me he said the other two down and instead grabbed Jace, hugging him in a bear hug. Jace couldn't help but squeal as Austin tickled him with his scuff.

"You little clown you! I ought tickled you till you pee yourself! Huh is that what you want?!" He says beginning to tickle his sides.

He giggled pushing at his hands, trying to wiggle away. Instead his brother and sister decided to join in, all the while he screamed the only other word he knew besides momma, dada, and yum, which was no!

I giggled along watching them play as they always did. This was bliss, heaven for sure!

I just couldn't wait until we were finally a real family, as in when Austin and I would finally get married. We were planning on it finally happening in just a few months.

The tickling had finally ceased and Jace was sprawled out on the carpeting trying to catch his breath as Liberty tried to crawl back up into Austin's lap and Heath became interested with his toes.

"And how was your day my beautiful fiancé? Didn't miss me to much did you?" He asked with a smirk, as he leaned in for a kiss.

I smiled against his lips "You have no idea."

We kissed again, but not before hearing a faint "yuck!"

Yep that's our kids for you.

So sorry for the long wait! But I'm finally stable and I'll be able to write more frequently now. Also not this chapter but the next will be the Epilouge. I'm sorry I'm just not sure what else to do with this story! It wasn't even really about the navy I guess :/
