HOUSE OF HADES

Chapter 3

Elayna dashes into Danya and Savanna's room.
"Guys!" She shouts. "There's a message from Sami on the mirror!"
Danya and Savanna follow Elayna to the bathroom.
They arrive at the bathroom and see Annika wiping off the steam on the mirror.
"What did you do?!" Elayna yells.
"I wiped off the steam." Annika explains.
"Sami's message was on it! I knew you were behind this!"
"I didn't see anything!"
Victor comes. "It's past curfew, everyone get to bed."
Everyone rushes to their room.

The next morning, Elayna tells everyone what Annika did at breakfast.
"She's obviously behind this!" She says.
"I don't know." Mark speaks up. "I saw Tyler go into the bathroom and write something on the mirror."
"It was probably a prank." Danya adds.
"I doubt it." Elayna argues.
                                        ~
Annika walks to school and sees an elderly lady in front of the Hades House.
"Who are you?" Annika asks.
"I'm Sarah." The elderly lady says. "That's my house!"
"That's a boarding school house." Annika explains.
"I used to live there!" Sarah argues.
"I should probably take you back to the nursing home. Is that where you're from?"
"Yes."
"Then, come on."
                                      ~
In the House, Elayna questions Tyler.
"Tell me NOW!" Elayna shouts.
"I didn't do it!" Tyler reasons.
"You're lying! Mark saw you!"
"I swear I didn't!"
Elayna groans and leaves.
Tyler smirks and laughs, because he did it.
                                       ~
Mark goes to Danya.
"I have something for you." He gives her a bracelet.
"Thanks." Danya laughs.
Savanna comes.
"Do you still want me to tutor you?" Savanna asks.
"Yeah." He says. "I'm ready, now."
Danya rolls her eyes.
                                    ~
At school, Elayna talks to the principal, Mr. Sweet.
"Who was there to see Sami in your office the day she left?" She asks.
"That's confidential." He says.
"She's my best friend! She still hasn't contacted me!"
"I'm sorry, but I don't know what else to tell you."
Elayna rolls her eyes.
She goes outside and sees Danya and Savanna.
"How did it go?" Savanna asks.
"Still no answers." Elayna replies.
"Wasn't Sami in this picture?" Danya points out the school photo with all of the students on it.
But Sami isn't, even though she used to be.
"They must have photo-shopped her out!" Elayna gasps. "Finally some proof!"
                                      ~
Annika leads Sarah into her room at the nursing home.
"Here you are." Annika says.
"Wait." Sarah grabs her. "Take this."
She gives Annika a locket with the Hades symbol on it.
"The House of Hades is evil." Sarah explains. "It's a dark house. You have to keep this and find the treasure. You must find it and stop the spirits of the House. Just beware the black bird!"
                                       ~
"Beware the black bird!" Sarah's voice echoed in Annika's nightmare.
That night, she has a nightmare about what happened with Sarah earlier that day.
Annika bolts up.
Elayna is above her, cowering,"Beware the black bird!"
"What are you doing?!" Annika exclaims.
"You woke me up saying that in your sleep!" Elayna laughs. "You scaredy-cat!"
Elayna turns the lights off and goes to sleep.
Annika looks at the locker from Sarah and opens it.
Inside, is a picture of a girl.
