Chapter 12: Worries And Fears

The Town of Aqua City was thirty minutes away on what had been a long trip. Jo was asleep on Blaze while Aurora was napping from using her healing ability so much. Yumi was watching the world with fascination while Tema was talking to Viola "so Viola...you're a divine sentinel too?" she seemed a little depressed

"yes I am. I didn't mean to keep it from you. It's just the existence of us...shouldn't be widespread"

"Well...I suppose. You are regarded as, excuse the phrase, an extinct type. Don't worry I'm not telling anyone" Viola nodded

"I thank you"

Tema then turned to Eve who had remained quiet "so Eve...are you a divine sentinel too?" she gave a gentle nod

"yes...I am" Eve said quietly "I can control the elements...and wield a weapon corresponding to that element. Like a bow and arrow for lightning" she then looked sad

"What's wrong?" asked Tema worriedly

"I'm...sorry for attacking you...back then. I honestly thought...you were keeping Aurora prisoner. So I..." Tema put a hand on her shoulder  

"Hey it's okay. I've already forgotten about it" Eve looked surprised "you do have reason for thinking that way. Especially after seeing Zack. So...what made you...want to come?"

Eve looked like she was trouble speaking "well...it's...because I wanted to...know you better" Tema looked a bit surprised as Viola spoke

"Eve learned that Yumi and Aurora wanted to be with you. So she was curious as to why and wanted to meet you" Eve looked a bit embarrassed as Tema replied

 "okay...but I don't quite get It" said Tema but then Eve looked troubled

"Tema...is really okay for me to...be with you?" said Eve sadly

"Eve...you were willing to give, a human, chance right?" Eve turned to him "so I think it's only fair..." Tema then gently rubbed her head "I give you one" Eve looked at Tema with fascination

"you're...rubbing my head" Tema then retracted his arm going a bit red

"sorry...I guess I'm used to doing it with Yumi"

"if felt...nice" this surprised Tema who went a little red "thank you"

Viola smiled at Eve's response "I told you, he'd would accept you Eve" Eve a little embarrassed nodded "all that leaves is Rafiel"

"what did you say Viola?" asked Tema

"oh...nothing" Viola thoughts turned to Rafiel "I wonder if he's coming to terms with his thoughts yet"

In Aqua City the aforementioned Rafiel was sitting on a roof to his thoughts. "right now my destiny is unclear. I don't want any part of that group anymore. Now after what Drake said" he remembered back to when Drake came back

"you were what?"

"ordered to terminate Eve. She's no longer allies with us. You see our boss ordered Eve to kill the boy. But Eve said no, through her own volition. Which in turn made the boss command me to kill her" Rafiel responded in anger

"So boss wanted her dead because she chose something for herself!? She's our team-mate...how could he!?"

"Don't worry about the girl" Rafiel looked surprised "She's with the boy right now" Drake began walking away "you know...Eve is quite lucky. To be with the boy"
