"Have you ever tried exercising?"

"Are you fucking calling me fat, Camz?" Lauren asked from where she was sprawled across the couch lazily in her underwear. She would have been able to make some sort of a legitimate argument if the bag of potato chips she was eating from like some industrial vacuum cleaner wasn't labeled value size and a two liter bottle of Sprite wasn't sitting on the table in front of her without a cup in sight.

"No you moron. I mean like...to keep you busy?"

"Sex is exercise," she threw back nonchalantly, Camila's cheeks turning the briefest shade of red before returning to normal. She emerged from the kitchen with a banana in hand. Their unspoken friends with benefits arrangement had continued well after their first time, and their second, and their third...

It was a lot easier and less awkward than Camila thought it would be. Sleeping with the green eyed girl had so much undeniable potential to get incredibly complicated and messy but it was like they went completely back to normal afterwards, as if they weren't making each other pant or moan or scream their names just minutes before.

"Is that all you think about?"

"Um...look who's talking?"

"I don't hear you complaining," she retorted before she realized what she said.

"What? I'm literally always complaining. If I'm ever not complaining, assume I'm dead."

"Well not about that. I'm just saying...it's a nice way to keep your mind and your body preoccupied. I go running sometimes; you could come with me," she offered, earning only a sarcastic snort of laughter.

"That sounds horrible."

"Think about it; you could change your whole lifestyle and get super healthy-"

"I hate every word in that sentence," she deadpanned with a mouthful of chips. Camila shoved her legs off of the couch to make room for her to sit but Lauren only propped her feet on her lap. With an eye roll she peeled her banana and took a bite.

"What about yoga?"

"What about it?" she said, this time looking at the smaller brunette.

"Stop talking with your mouth full," she scolded, slapping the girl on her bare thigh. Lauren only responded by blowing out some of the crumbs from her mouth in Camila's direction. She shut her eyes and flinched.

"Better?" she asked with a smile.

"You're disgusting." Camila started to wipe the crumbs off when Lauren reached for a napkin on the table and handed it to her. She snatched it out of her hand with a hard glare that made the raven haired girl laugh loudly.

"You say that a lot for someone who keeps trying to hang out with me."

"You literally could just say no so I don't see what the problem is. I'm not holding a gun to your head." Lauren pursed her lips, mulling that thought over and she shrugged, only slightly annoyed that she actually had a point. Camila had suggested a number of different things to help Lauren keep busy so she wouldn't focus on her addiction but the task was proving to be a lot harder than she originally anticipated, especially when her roommate was the most stubborn human on the planet. Lauren surprisingly seemed willing to hear her out at least and that, Camila convinced herself, was something close to progress.

"True."

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you actually..." she trailed off, leaning over and looking dramatically into her eyes, "like spending time with me." Lauren stared at her for a moment, blinking with little to no actual expression on her face, and swiftly pulled her leg back to kick the banana out of Camila's hand. "Hey!" It flew across the room landing somewhere near the table behind them and Camila slapped her again.
