• Dyamon's POV •

I woke up not in the car anymore . Instead I was on Devin's lap laying on his chest .

He was looking at the water .

We were on a cliff looking down at the water and sunset . It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen .

I yawned from exhaustion .

Devin looked down into my eyes and smiled .

" Heeey sleepy head . "

" Heeey how long we been here ? " I asked .

" Only a minute , "

" Ooh where are we ? "

" My special secret place . " He said smiling .

" Secret ? Well I'm here , " I said .

" Yeaa your special to me , duh Dyamon . Bring my special girl to my special place . "

I blushed and he laughed .

" If it's so special why is it a secret ?

" Because my mothers here , "

I looked around for his mom . I was confused when I saw no one .

" Where is she ? " I whispered .

He laughed again .

" Not physically spiritually , "

" Ooh I see , " I said still lost .

His eyes grew watery .

" Look when I was young my mother wasn't financially able to provide for me and my brother sometimes . That's when she met this guy . & He was nice at first until one day he lost it . He started beating my mother and us . My mother hid me and went back downstairs. I could hear her screaming and yelling for mercy . Then my big brother Malik walked in . & He started beating both of them . I came out of hiding and saw Malik getting beat and reaching for his gun . He told me to grab it and shot . I was six I didn't know what I was doing or what was going on and I shot . I didn't mean to hurt anyone I just didn't know what to do , " He said crying now .

" It's okay Dev it was a mistake . " I said reassuring him .

He shook his head .

" I just shot the gun I didn't know what was going on , they were moving and so much was going on and I just shot ! I saw Malik fall to the floor and was bleeding bad , I dropped the gun . I saw the guy run out the house . Malik was bleeding so bad I didn't mean to do it I was trying to protect him I really was ! It was blood everywhere and my mom was crying and talking to him . He told her to take me and leave . She did as told and threw me in the car and drove off . I shot my own blood Dy ! "

" Dev it's not yo - " he cut me off and screamed .

" It is it's all my fault . "

I couldn't say anything I just held him in my arms .

" Anyways after that we moved and the guy found us . My mom took him back at first everything was fine until they got in a argument . I came downstairs and pecked passed the stair banister and pecked into the kitchen . He started slapping and kick my mom and then he pulled out a gun and everything became a big blur . Next thing I know I heard a loud bang and the front door shut . "

I rubbed his back calming him down .

" I wanted my mom around forever whether physically , spiritually , anything . So I had her cremated and I spread her ashes here . In this very water so I can always come here and know she's here . "

His face lightened up showing he was feeling better .

" Devin , why'd you bring me here ? "

He froze for a minute .

" Because I wanted her to meet you , " He started and smiled .

" She would have loved you , mostly because you make me happy . "

After those words I couldn't help but shed a tear and hugged Dev .

" Hey let's get out of here , " he said standing up and pointing to the car .

As I walked off leaving Dev I heard him say something .

" Bye Ma , love you . & I'm sorry for everything . I wish you could meet Dyamon I know you would like her she's perfect . I hope your proud of me , " He said before catching up to me .

We got in the car and before we could pull off I grabbed his face and kisses him long and sweetly .

He broke the kiss to look in my eyes , he then smiled at me .

We drove to my house to get me some pajamas and stuff .

I ran in grabbed my stuff and ran out .

We pulled off to Devin's house .

Once we got inside I went straight to the fridge .

• Devin's POV •

Dy wasn't at my house for five minutes and was already in my fridge .

I shook my head and went upstairs to hop in the shower .

I couldn't help but think about all the shit I told Dyamon . I cried in front of her . I never ever cried but once or twice in my life .

I never told anyone what I told her . She made me feel special , like I can actually do something with my life besides selling dope .

Anyways I hopped in and out the shower in 45 minutes .

I walked into my room and there was sleeping Dyamon .

She looked cute asleep , especially because she couldn't roll her damn eyes in her sleep .

She had on one of my shirts and she smelled like the soap I had in the guest room .

I slid in bed next to her trying not to wake her but I failed .

• Dyamon's POV •

I woke up because I felt the bed sink in next to me I knew it was Devin .

He was climbing into bed in his polo pajamas and no shirt .

I wrapped my arms around his neck and rubbed the back of his head .

He kissed me and closed his eyes .

" No I wanna watch a movie . " I whined and bounced on the bed .

He laughed . " You was just sleep no Dy ."

I frowned . " But I'm woke now Devin . " I said starting the fake tears .

He sighed and turned on the Tv .

" What you wanna watch ? "

I shrugged .

He laughed and started a movie .

& He was right I was to tired to watch .

I climbed in his lap as he laid there half asleep .

I started playing with his nose making him laugh .

" Go to bed Stink I'm tired . "

" Okaay . " I said giving in and turning the Tv back off .

I laid on top of Dev letting his steady calm heart beat put me to sleep .

I kissed his chest and fell asleep in the warmth of Devin's arms .

I expected to wake up where I fell asleep , on Devin .

Instead I woke up in a empty bed alone .

I rolled over to Devin's cold side of the bed to a note .

I got up and out the bed .

How this nigga just gonna leave me here ?

I found my phone and called him. He answered on the third ring .

" Yeaa Bae ? "

I laughed .

" Who is your bae ? "

" You are my Bae , wassup whatcha need ? "

" Where are you ? "

I heard a loud bangs in the background .

" Dev ? "

The phone was silent .

" Dev you okaay ? "

I heard shots .

" Ooh shit , " Was the last thing he said before I heard a crashing bang .

I heard a car speed off and the phone was silent again .

" Dev ? " I said worried and confused .

All I heard was groans .

Then a heavy breathing in the phone .

" Dev ? " I screamed .

Then the phone hung up .
