What time is it? Summertime!

Maya's P.O.V
It's finally summer! Yay! This year was so long and crazy but I'm glad I had all my wonderful friends by my side to get through it. The bell just rang like 30 seconds ago and now we are all crowded by the gate saying bye to each other. Lucas was standing next to me talking to his friends so I tapped him on the shoulder and said
"Since it's the last day of school can I have a goodbye hug?"
"Of course you can" he laughed and gave me a hug
"I'm sure we will see each other over summer" I said hopeful
"Of course we will" he said with a smirk
"I'll see you tonight" he said as he whispered in my ear. I gave him a very confused look but then I remembered that we were going out for frozen yogurt. I smiled back at him and walked away with Nicole and Miley so we could go home. When Nicole dropped Miley and I off at Miley's house, Miley asked me if I wanted to sleepover.
"Ugh I really want to but I can't" I said while frowning.
"Aw why not?" She asked
Yikes. What was I supposed to say? Lucas and I didn't wanna tell anyone that we were going out tonight but it's just Miley so I'll tell her.
"I have plans with Lucas tonight" I said
"Oh. Wait with Lucas?" I nod
"OMG! Maya and you didn't tell us?"
"Lucas wanted it to be a secret you are the only one who knows so don't tell anyone."
"When will you guys be done?"
"Um I honestly don't know because we are going out at 5 maybe like 7:30 or 8?"
"That's perfect because I get done with dance at 8 and then do you wanna hang out?" She asked
"Yeah that would be great" I said excitedly
"Ok!"
I stayed at Miley's house for about an hour then I walked home to get ready for froyo. I just put on a black tank top with a cutout in the back, some denim shorts, my black converse, and did my hair half up half down. I applied some makeup and I was ready to go. Since Lucas and I both lived close to the frozen yogurt place we both walked. I texted him that I was on my way.
M: I'm walking to the place rn
L: I might be late
M: how late?
L: like 10 minutes
M: aw :( ok
L: I'll be there though don't worry
M: ok
I was a little disappointed that he was gonna be late but oh well at least we got to hang out. I was walking up to the door and then I saw Lucas standing there with flowers in his hand.
"Oh my god. Lucas, I thought you were gonna be late." I said shocked
"Yea I lied. I wanted to get here before you and surprise you." He said while smiling
"That's so nice. Aww thank you so much!" I said while hugging him.
"Let's get some froyo I'm starving." He said
"You're always hungry." I said while laughing
"I'm a football player what do you expect?" He asked while flexing his muscles
"Okay okay no need to show off" I replied while laughing
"Let's just go in" we both said
We sat there and ate our froyo and he paid for mine. I asked if I could post a picture on snapchat and he agreed so we both posted one. I posted a picture of him smiling with his yogurt and be posted one of me smiling with my flowers. Everyone went crazy but we ignored them and continued talking to each other.
"I don't want anything to change this summer" I said while frowning
"What do you mean by that?" He asked confused
"I just don't want to lose our friendship and I don't want us to lose feelings for each other" I was on the verge of tears at this point but I really didn't want to cry in front of him.
"My feelings for you will never change Maya" he said while grabbing my hand.

Lucas P.O.V
A tear shed down her cheek and I reached across the table to wipe it with my hand.
"I really really really like you Maya and just because we don't see each other everyday doesn't mean I'll stop liking you. So don't worry" I reassured her
"Okay that makes me feel a lot better" she smiled
God I love her smile. Her smile can light up my whole day. We just talked about summer and what happened this year for the rest of our "date"
"Do you remember when we went to pool day last week?" I asked
"It was last week of course I remember Lucas" she said while laughing
"But do you remember what happened?" I asked again
"So many things happened that day. Emily hit you in the head with a football, you got hit in the face with a frisbee. What else's happened?" She asked
"Hmm lets see you styled my hair, you checked me out, I checked you out, I hugged you from behind in the water, I picked you up and threw you in the water. Any of those things ringing any bells?" I said while smirking
"You checked me out?! Oh my gosh. And I did not check you out. I was observing my phone surroundings. What was your favorite part of the day?"
"When you styled my hair" I said while blushing
"That's was fun" she said while smiling

"Oohhh Maya and Kyle are you guys dating?" Alex asked
"No they are not" Lucas answered for them
Maya stood up from her towel and was standing close to Lucas and looking up at him.
"Is someone jealous?" Maya asked Lucas
"No" he said while looking away
"How's your face?" She asked
"It hurts" he said whining a little
"I laughed so hard when that happend" she said while laughing again
"Yea okay"
"Your hair looks pretty funny right now" she said
"Your hair looks pretty hot right now"
Maya started blushing.
"Here let me fix it." She then started touching my hair and she was on her tip toes because I was taller than her. Her boobs were like right in front of my face and I tried to look at her face but it was kinda hard not to stare at her boobs I mean I'm only a teenage boy.
"There shark boy now you can calm down" she said while putting her feet back on the ground.
"Thank you" I said while smiling
"What would you do without me?" She asked
"I honestly don't know" I said while admiring her. I then picked her up and started spinning her around.

"That was such a fun day!" We both shouted
"Well I better get home, it's already dark." She said
" I'm walking you home." I said
"You don't have to"
"I want to. I'm not letting you walk home alone in the dark are you crazy?"
"Okay fine Lucas let's go." She said chuckling and grabbing my hand. We held hands the whole way to her house.
I walked her home and when we got to the door I thought of something.
"You aren't gonna kiss me on the cheek are you?" She asked
"I wasn't planning on it. But I was gonna give you a big hug." I said. We hugged and as we were pulling away I pushed my lips on hers.

Maya's P.O.V
Oh my gosh. He is kissing me! This is my first kiss! I started to kiss back because I wanted to and we kissed for about a minute and 30 seconds.
"Wow" we both said
"What a great way to start summer vacation!" I said laughing
"I wouldn't have wanted to start it any way else"
"You said you wouldn't kiss me" I said confused
"I said I wasn't planning on kissing you on the cheek" He said smiling
"Oh gosh. Okay I gotta go Miley will be here soon" I said
"Okay I like you" he said while walking away
"I like you too" I said walking in to my house.
My mom and my little brother were the only ones there.
"Mom!! I had my first kiss!! Lucas kissed me!"
"Wow! That's wonderful honey! How was it?" She asked laughing
"It was amazing! I gotta put my stuff together Miley will be here in 5 minutes"
"Okay"
I went to pack up my stuff and then Miley came to get me. We had a really good sleepover and I told her all about what happened at our froyo date.
"That is the cutest thing I've ever heard oh my god" she squealed
"It was like a dream come true literally I'm so happy" I said blushing like crazy
"So are you guys like dating or what?"
"I honestly don't know. I don't think so because it's summer but I really don't know."
We had so much fun after that but all I kept thinking was what are we now?
