Chapter 18: Grocery and Intoxication (?)

THIA

Pumunta kami sa grocery department. Kumuha siya ng isang cart, mayroon din sa akin. I pushed my cart to my favourite section, pero bigla akong pinigilan ni Ramos. Binigyan ko siya ng 'questioning' look.

"Saan ka pupunta?"

"Sa heaven, sama ka?" I answered him then slowly push again my cart heading for that section para maka-alis na agad. He stopped me again and motion me to wait so I did, he fished out his phone, I guess he got a call. Nonetheless, I smell libre! Dapat lang, siya kaya ang nangyaya. Woot-woot!

Nakarating kami sa 'favorite' section ko, I immediately grab what I want and needed-cup noodles, then gatorades. And voila, tapos na! I was about to proceed to the cashier's station para mabayaran na ang mga kinuha ko, then again Ramos stopped me, no more like grabbed me.

" 'Yan lang? Alam mo naman puros may mga preservatives 'yan eh. Dun tayo sa mga 'TOTOONG' pagkain." Dinala niya ako 'dun, hindi na ako nagkaalis dahil hahawak din niya ang cart ko. AT BA KA!! Totoo na naman hypotheis ko! LIBRE! Sabay kaming nagtutulak, kaya tumatabi na lang din ang ibang mamimili para padaanin kami. At habang tumatabi sila, napapangiti sila. Luh? May model ba? May gwapo? Asaan?!

" Ma, look at them they're cute! Are they newlyweds?" A teenage girl tells her mom, baby girl! You don't know what you're talking about.

"They are so bagay girl. The guy is so gwapo and the girl is maganda." Girl, as you can see we're human and WE ARE NOT 'THING'. Bakit ba kasi pagkasama ko 'tong lalakeng 'to, panay bulungan ang mga taong nakakakita samin? Ah kay, he's 'gwapo' and head turner for girls. Ganon? O sige, I admit it he's handsome and he has a great sense of fashion the 'prim and proper way'. There! As I said once in a bluemoon lang akong mag-compliment, lubus-lubusin na. Pero I won't say that to his face, not in a million years.

"Ito ang tunay na pagkain." Pointing down at those frozen meat in the fridge. He talks to the saleslady something about the meat, kumuha siya ng isang kilo? I don't know! Dang, this is so embarrassing I don't have the knowledge about this stuff. I just keep my mouth shut throughout. He's an expert about this stuff, swerte ng magiging girlfriend o asawa nito. Halos mapuno na ang cart niya ng mga fruits, veggies at meats. Akin? Hah! Cup noodles at Gatorade lang naman po. We're about to leave the 'real food' section when someone call me from behind kaya napatigil ako. Napakunot naman ang noo ni Ramos, parang ng sasabi ng 'what'?

"Doc Ganda!" Doc? Oo, ako 'yun. Sino 'yung ganda? Ewan. Hindi ko aaminin 'yun dahil humble ako? So I continued pushing my cart and so does Ramos. But someone pulled my blouse, nagulat ako. Nase-sense ko na maliit na tao ito, may gash! Lapitin ba ako ng unano?

"Doc Ganda." Oh? It's a girl, humarap ako sa likod ko. Weird? Wala naman eh, the I looked down.

"Angela? Hi! Sino kasama mo? Nawawala kaba? Okay ka lang?" I randomly ask, kasi naman wala siyang kasama! Baka kung anong mangyari.

"I'm healthy na Doc! I'm with my mom, she's buying fruits over there. Oh there she is!" Grabe halos hindi siya huminga habang nagkukwento. I saw her Mom smiling at me, heading towards our direction.

" Hi Doc, and .... boyfriend mo Doc?"

"This is my friend Cyl Ramos." I patted Ramos's back, awkward talaga. Ba't ba kasi lagi kaming pinagkakamalang magka-relasyon? Pa-hashtag sa twitter at facebook ng medyo INIS.

"Doc Ganda what are you doing here with your boyfriend? Are---"

"Angel! Stop. I'm sorry Doc." Angela was cut off by her mother, pero infairness ang fluent na niyang magsalita. Di katulad noon, parang bungi! Nagkumustahan lang kami, enthusiastically tell me about Angela's condition. She said lots of thank you, ako? lots welcome! I even said that enough with the thank you, but she couldn't! She even talked to Ramos, asking him question randomly at ang bata naman nakikisali rin. I am just laughing the whole time, who wouldn't? Tinatanong bakit daw siya gwapo, ba't ang bango niya! Bakit daw di niya ako girlfriend, okay stop! duh, ang tagal napala namin dito, take note nakatayo lang kami at nag-uusap. Buti hindi sumakit paa ko, to think that I'm wearing pumps.
