Chapter 24 : Courting trouble

This chapter contains why Thia, escaped from Cyl. The title of the chapter itself says it all.

Note: Cyl and Enzo is the same person. Enzo ang tawag ng mga acquaintances/kaibigan. Si Thia lang ang tumatawag na 'Cyl' sa kanya :D

CHAPTER 24

" I'll court you." He said sternly. I was taken aback by his sudden statement. I'm looking at him with a serious face, waiting for the punch line 'joke lang' but minutes had passed. Wala yung inaasahan kong punch line.

I let out a sigh. "Then you'll go to my parents house, fetch some water, cut and pile up some woods-" I saw his lips building into a lopsided smile. Is he insane?

"Thanks." He said, still wearing his lopsided smile. Thanks for what? This man got me confused. "Hey! I never said yes!" I tried to calm myself, good to know its working.

"Oh really? You just did babe." He smirked.

Humalagapak ng tawa ang mga bruha pagkatapos kong ikwento ang pangyayaring iyon. “Buang!” Pinagpapalo pa ni Zen ang lamesa para maipakita ang pagka-OA ng bruha. Pinagtitinginan na kami ng ibang customer dito. I just covered my face with my palm because of the embarrassment.

Tumatawa parin sila, ako lang ang hindi! “Obvious kaya ang nais mong iparating. Pinahaba mo lang bruha ka!” Sabat naman ni Liz. Remind me again, why I called them earlier? Oh right, to discuss my freakin’ growing emotion with that ever charming man. Emotion na talaga! Hindi feeling. Cause feeling is fleeting and emotion is not.

“Come to think of it. It’s not even a question. Where’s your brain dear? He totally caught you off guard!” Dagdag pa ni Hana.

 I rolled my eyes heaven wards upon hearing their comments. We are currently here at our own cafe in a mall. I was forced into it, obviously business wasn’t running in my veins. Blood is! Get it? Seriously, me and my friends own this place and called it Quota. I just invested here and the sales are good. So, I guess the business is good. Si Zen at Liz talaga ang nagma-manage nito, one year old cafe and we’re currently expanding.

Dahil nga engrossed sila sa kapalpakang nagawa ko, nagtitigan nalang kami ng frappe ko. Naririnig ko ang mga tawa nila, habang pinag-uusapan ako ng mapansin ko ang inumin ni CC (Cecile). She’s a certified coffee drinker, it help her coping up with her stressful work. Seeing, her drinking something else aside from coffee bothers me. I studied her phenotypic feature; it’s been a while since her wedding,  that was our last meeting before her honeymoon trip. Hindi naman pwedeng si Arah, ongoing kasi ang honeymoon nun.  “Someone’s pregnant.” I blurted out accidentally.
