"Cazzo!" I cursed under my breath as I ran from the guards roughly pushing each civilian in my way aside, 'I have enough for Thursday right??' I thought as I tried to count the money while still on the move. Though it may have been a bad idea.. "You're mine now!" I heard a guard yell in front of me.. 'Merda! There's more?!' I asked myself in confusion, 'you've lived here all your life you should know, if you're going to steal from people and from the marketplace, you have to know the guard assembly!' I fought with myself, turning at a sharp corner, i balanced myself and kept running, leaving some guards behind, some still hot on my tail.

Throwing the guards off, i returned home. "What a day." I said to myself as i entered my home, "father, I've arrived!" I yelled up the staircase hoping for a response. He was getting worse each day, I had to be cautious. "Ah my dear, come to see me." He seemed excited but.. Didn't have much energy, I could tell. "Coming father." I replied and headed up the staircase to visit him. I slowly opened the door, careful not to make too much noise. "Buongiorno father." I greeted him. "How was your day daughter?" He asked in a raspy tone, I couldn't take it, his pain. "It was fine, how are you feeling today ?" I asked as I placed my hand upon his hot forehead.. His fever wasn't going down, "father I must get you a cold washcloth, please continue on with how you're feeling please, I must know." I told him with a stern but sweet voice.

As he told me how he was feeling, I soaked a white wool washcloth in a bucket of cold water I had retrieved this morning, from the freezing venice water below the building we had stayed in for years, luckily we lived right next to the water, I mean it was quite impossible not to be near water if you lived in Venice, I chuckled to myself softly as I twisted the cloth to rinse out most of the water, I folded the cloth to a smaller size and carried it to my father. "Bambina, are you alright?" He sounded worried as I pressed the wash cloth to his forehead, "father I'm a little more worried about you." I tilted my head and smiled, "is it cool enough father, or should I go and retrieve more water?" I asked him.
"It's just fine amore." He assured me and ushered me off to exit his room. I couldn't tell him.. I just couldn't, telling him I've stolen almost everything we need to get by would make him more disappointed than he had ever been, I can't have him worry about money anyways I told father I would handle it, I mustn't let him become overwhelmed, he doesn't need that stress upon his weak shoulders, he's short on time.
I have years.

I know, I feel like I suck at this whole writing fanfiction thing, oh well, lovely chapter of (y/n) and her father don't you think? :))
