Chapter 20: ~Re-do ~

Woken by someone drawing the curtains in the room I'd slept, the sun, of course brighter today than any other day, shone directly into my vision, though shut, my eyes were still sensitive to the strong light; I squeezed my eyes furthermore, to no effect.

"Rise and shine, sweetie" a new, yet familiar voice struck my ear drums.

When did she get so close gah!

"Mio dio, I'm up, I'm up." I struggled to sit up without Rosas help, after my first encounter with Rosa, the last few days had been nothing but a blur, I was healing slowly but surely, I'd slept most hours of the day besides being taken by rosa to bathe and use the restroom, I didn't know the girl well but she was awfully sweet, smart too. She locked her arm with mine and helped me out of bed.

"You don't have to be so stubborn you know?" She teased with a wink as I undressed with difficulty, and dressed with even more trouble.

"I might need to rest after that one, think I broke my record for timing." I grinned at her. She chuckled and rolled her eyes before motioning for me to get up.

"We need to get some exercise in you if you want to stay in a healthy state." She spoke, leading me down the creaking wooden staircase.

"Did you just call me fat?" I raised an eyebrow at her and smirked as she struggled with an answer.

"I- I didn't, you know!" She stuttered searching for relief, in which I gave.

"Calm down, I know what you meant." I giggled after her face of relief left and the face of annoyance danced on her pretty face, I know I shouldn't be one to judge her, but we're headed out towards town and her chest is almost completely revealed, what if someone took it the wrong way? Without realizing I was staring, she stopped me dead in my tracks right outside the main doorway.

This place looks a little.. worn down.

"Excuse me." She snapped me out of it. "You're just everywhere aren't you? One moment you're staring at my breasts, the next you're spinning around in circles." She sighed and scratched her head. "What can I do to pull your mind out of the gutter? If it makes you feel better, we don't have to stray too far from the guild." She had worry strung throughout her face.

"I don't know if I'm ready to walk, is there- a place we can sit?" My voice breathy and my breathing uneven, was I already exhausted?

"Si amore." She nudged me forward and around the corner, a small hidden area where the thieves can remain hidden, and carry cargo, and loot from boats here, seeing as the water leads out into the ocean, it most likely comes in handy, and it's a peaceful secluded area to rest, once I'm able to walk properly on my own, I think I'll take the liberty of spending most of my time here. There's not a lot of hidden beautiful spots I know of, though I've lived here my entire lifetime, I never had much time to go out and explore more than the market squares and doctors carts for my fathers health, in fact, now that I think about it, most of my life was revolved around my father and his physical health, and I had no time to myself, reading was nice, writing too, but there wasn't much else I could do out of the house, since that's where I needed to be, besides carnevale, I didn't leave. Without any realization of how long I had been sitting down and thinking back on my boring life, Rosa spoke.

"I wonder if there's more places like this." Were my thoughts written? Maybe we're one in the same, great minds think alike.
