The sun shone through the window setting along the silent room, the light rested upon the white sheets in which I was entangled in, my arms sprawled about the bed and my legs wrapped in sheets as well as my torso. My hair lay along the pillow, most likely to be ratted and untamed when I awoke, the ties that closed my shirt at the top had come undone revealing more than what anyone other than myself should see.
I began to stir once the light invaded my slumber, but the sheets told me to stay, holding me down as I struggled to move away from the bright burning sun. I gripped the pillow and smacked my face with it, it couldn't have been very late, I knew it had to have been too early to start my day, so I fell back into sleep, I slowly faded back into a lighter rest, My body gently fell into the rest as well, my hands that lay upon the pillow slipped off and fell into their on positions next to me, while my shoulders slumped with my chest and stomach comfortably into the mattress.

The pillow slid off my face as I sat up, I stretched my arms as well as my back, it arched while my arms flew straight out to the side then behind my head, I swung my legs off the side of the bed jumping down landing on my bare feet, I made my way to the bathroom grabbing the wooden bucket by the tub and turning the faucet in the bath on running the water for a moment before I slid the bucket underneath filling it only half way; I set the bucket back down on the counter in front of the mirror. I dipped my finger in the semi warm water twirling it around watching the water curve, I opened the drawer containing small hand towels to my right taking one and soaking it in the warm bucket of water. I left the bathroom again opening my messenger bag taking out a white ribbon and I twisted it around my finger as I made my way back to the bathroom; I ran my fingers through my hair tugging it back into a tight ponytail leaving no strands loose then wrapping the ribbon around my hair and tying it roughly into a small bow. I grabbed the cloth submerged underneath the now chilling water and I pressed it against my skin washing my face and my hands as well.
Once finished I rung out the grey cloth into the bucket and hung it up on the rack to dry, I dumped the water out into the tub watching it swirl down the drain slowly sucking all the water from the tub; I turned to the mirror notice the strings to my shirt seemed to have released from their knot during my slumber, I then took the strings and tied my shirt together once again hiding what should remain unseen. I slipped on my knee high boots and threw my messenger back over my shoulder after cleaning the room and returning it to the way it was, on my way out the woman who was there a few days ago when I first checked in glared at me as I tossed the key onto the counter not stopping or even making eye contact with her, I wasn't in any mood to get jerked with by some useless innkeeper. Trotting down the steps and colliding my feet with the cobblestone once again felt anew, though I'd done it many times, the feeling of it just felt different, like something I'd never felt before; I dashed off toward the building the thief mentioned, the building where he told me the fox would be.

Arriving to a worn down building with torn green flags with symbols I couldn't make out, the place looked unstable, as if it could tumble to the ground right before me, I examined the building with furrowed eyebrows as well as a confused expression, I shook my head at the realization that no one was near, did the thief set me up? To protect the fox?
"I know what you're thinking. "Did that idiot thief send me here to protect him?" I heard an unfamiliar voice speak up behind me, i didn't dare turn around, I wasn't sure how he read my mind.
"To answer your question, no he didn't. He sent you here to protect himself from getting in trouble with me, because he knew I was looking for you." He had a sly tone perked into his voice as he spoke.
"For me?!" I turned to see a man cloaked in a bronze hood, vest, and trousers, I couldn't make out his face due to the shadow cast in front of his eyes from his hood, I supposed that was the reason for it in the first place. He slowly examined me before he answered.
"Yes, I hear you know Luca and Marco no?" He questioned curiously, who would've known the fox would be searching for someone as useless as I..
"I do.. what about them? They ruined me and my fathers life.." I informed him, even slightly threatening him, which could've ended badly if it wasn't so subtle, but I know he saw right through it, I was afraid he had been working with them, maybe even had them work for him.
"Mm.. have you seen them recently, if so how recent? I want to make sure you weren't followed, no... never mind, follow me." He suddenly spun around and began to walk at a speedy pace; I jumped at his sudden words and actions not sure whether it was safe to follow or not, I had naught time to think about it, so I followed. I caught up to him as he then slapped his hand onto the bottom of a windowsill as well as his foot, then gripping the top part of the sill, jumping from there to a loose brick in the building, I was shocked, where was he going? I followed him of course not as quickly, in fact, very slowly, this wasn't my strong suit; I was out of breath by the time we reached a small secluded area with a soothing fountain with mixed coloured flowers surrounding it. He turned his head to me with an emotionless expression on his face as I caught my breath, he approached one of the decoration fountains in the brick, confused I followed, he tugged a small skull within the wall I would have never noticed.
"What's this?" I asked with curiosity as the skull placed itself upside down.
A vault. A friend of mine is busy at the moment and I need you to retrieve something for them." He explained to me his voice calm and collected, "there will be templars below here protecting the area, but I take it you're good at being quiet. If they spot you, they'll most definitely try to kill you." How could he sound so un phased by explaining this? It's not only complicated but it could lead to my sudden death! I couldn't agree to this..
Why should I?
