Chapter 5

"Hey Evie," I heard Tamsen slur. I knew I was completely drunk. I also knew that I didn't care anymore, Ben had won he had made me lose my job.

"What?" I asked.

"I dare you to kiss Ben," she said.

"You can't dare me to do that," I whined. "He's going to have me fired as it is."

"Wuss," Arlie chimed. I looked over at Ram for help, but he was one of the designated drivers so he was already in a foul mood. I looked over at Bryce who was talking to another girl a feeling I could only describe as jealously flared up in my chest. It took me by surprise and I quickly brushed it off.

"I dare you to kiss Harvey," I said to Arlie.

"Okay I'll do that if you kiss Ben," She didn't wait to hear my answer she just walked over to Harvey who was talking to a blond. She pushed the blond out of the way and pulled him into a deep kiss. When she pulled away he looked dazed and confused. She just sauntered back over to where we were sitting like nothing had happened. "Your turn." they all turned to me expectantly.

"I'm not..."

"Come dance with me," Someone said from behind me. I turned to see Ben. He looked completely sober so I was confused as to why he would be asking me to dance. He didn't wait for me to turn him down, which was what I was going to do he just pulled me up from my seat in the booth.

We walked out onto the dance floor and he put his hands on my waist pulling me close against his body. I put my arms on his shoulders loosely and started moving to the beat of the music, he pulled me closer and I turned away from him as if to walk away. He grabbed my waist again and pulled me back again, I could feel his breath on my neck. I shivered and tried to remember that I hated this man, but at the moment he was making it very hard. His hand trailed across the bottom of my shirt, which showed just a little tummy cleavage. Once his hand was across my body he spun me around so that I was facing him again. He lowered his lips to mine. It was like all of a sudden he was oxygen and I couldn't go on without his lips on mine, I put my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss.

Chapter 6

I snuggled closer to the body next to me in bed trying to get warm again. Their warm skin on mine was more than enough...wait skin on skin. My eyes shot open against their will and I looked at the body next to me. It was Ben. I tried to replay what had happened last night in my head, but all I remembered was dancing and the kiss. My head started pounding from trying to think and my mouth felt dry. I looked under the covers neither of us were wearing anything, our legs were intertwined and his arm held onto me possessively.

I gently eased his arm from around me. Then loosened my legs and tried to slide away from him only to have him grab me again and pull me back and wrap his other arm around me holding me tight. I didn't want to wake him. It would be too awkward to face him like this. Plus he already despises me. He thinks I'm a "Party Girl" that couldn't be further from the truth, even though everything from the last two nights is evidence against that.

"Go back to sleep," he said. I looked up to see him starring at me. "We only have a few more hours before we have to get to work so go back to sleep."

"I have to go," I said trying to move his arm again.

"No, you have to go back to sleep," he said tightening his grip. He wasn't being mean but he wasn't being nice either.

"I need clothes," I said coming up with what I thought was a decent excuse.

"You can borrow a shirt and wear your jeans. Now less talking and more sleep," He closed his eyes and I heard his breathing slow down, but his grip didn't loosen at all. So I did as I was told and went back to sleep.
