Chapter 12

"W...What the...?" Totmaru said "A barrier?"

I stared at the green magic circle that was slowly spinning upon the door. I made my way toward it and raised my hand toward when a surge coursed through my body causing me to yell out and throw me back into the ground. I can still feel the aftershock of that surge running through my body causing me to shake.

"It's a barrier, you're not going to get through it like that" Totomaru told me, helping me up

"Sorry" I whispered "But why would someone place a barrier at the Museum entrance? Weren't we supposed to be looking for the thieves that were attacking this place?"

Totomaru turned his attention back toward the top of the stairs seeing that the suits of armors were now appearing at the top of the stairs

"I don't think we're dealing with thieves anymore, Lucy" he said "Someone trapped us inside this place... and I don't think they're going to let us go without a fight"

The armors were walking down the stairs towards us and I stood beside him as he took a stance. I took mine. all the pratice I was doing for the past months since I have joined Phantom Lord. It's time to see if they are going down. To tell the truth, I was a nervous wreck and scared at seeing those large empty armors walking towards us with every intention to kills us by the looks of it.

"Don't be nervous" Totomaru whispers "If you are, you won't be able to summon out any magic... just have confidence in yourself and you'll do just fine"

I took deep breaths as they came closer "Sorry, your right" I looked up "Let's go"

Totomaru didn't need to be told twice as he suddenly summons his power letting out large waves of fire towards the armors. I can feel my magic flowing through my body as the feathers start to take shape around me. a magic circle appeared, with the symbol of the Lion upon the middle. As I raised my right hand towards them, the feathers multipled

"Heaven's Feather Spiral Gun"

The number of feathers around me suddenly flashed forward in a spiral formation siming straight for the armors. They exploded on contact making the room shake at how much power was behind it. I was taken back by how much force there was in the attack. During training there wasn't that much damage or I was holding back for some reason. As the dust clears, they are broken in pieces. A boom drew my attention to see my partner who had taken out the rest

"It seems that without bodies..." he said "... they can't take much of a hit"

"It seems so..."

Then the pieces start to glow a gross slimy green color as they start to float in mid-air. In front of my eyes they are starting to reform themselves and the pieces merge together and no damaged

"T...They can fix themselves?" I questioned

"If that's true, we may be fighting for a long time" Totomaru said "C' mon Lucy, we have to run before they are fixed"

We run up towards the stairs 

"We have to find Nicholas" he started "He might be the only one that has a kind of sense of what the hell id going on here"

"You're right" I frowned "But there is something I don't get... why would they say that thieves are attacking when in reality it's those things that have been causing trouble?"

He then frowned "Maybe someone is using it as a cover up" 

Suddenly, an armor appeared out of nowhere with a large board slamming it down. Throwing us down and I rolled the farthest away, groaning in pain. 'Wait... that's the...' It the same armor figure we first met and Totomaru destroyed. It fixed itself... but why was it coming towards me. The large armor monster completely ignored Totomaru, aiming for me. I felt myself frozen in fear. But I knew if I didn't more... I would die
