Darkness and light

There I was, Stuck in the dark forever.
Waiting for someone to pull a lever.
I kept calling out for help.
But no one listened to how I felt.

But there was light.
And it did shine bright.
Someone pulled free from the dark.
And showed me the way of my heart.

Each day she made me smile with glee.
Making me know that I was free.
We could never be broken apart.
And I loved her with all my heart.

One day, she went away.
The light faded on that day.
It was apparently fate.
Which drove me into hate.

I never stopped loving her though.
Was just too scared to pick up a phone.
She was my light of the night.
I missed her, I missed her light.

This poem was dedicated to my friend Wolfgirl2545 who been with me through thick and thin.
