The room is cold and dark,
The light of my phone burning bright.
I wonder how people leave their mark,
Even after they’ve walked into that light.
I leave my text as goodbye,
Paper to my left and mistakes to my right.
I set my phone down somewhere high,
Feeling the weight of the dark of the night.
So just listen lovely,
And let me tell you how not everyone’s alright.
Fear enclosing the mind slowly,
But never give up the fight.
Hearing the words in whispers,
“It’ll all get better, I promise.”
Just remember to never make promises,
Promises that don’t make for you to keep.
The breeze from a window leaves a late night June chill,
I close it, look, and feel the cold metal.
Sigh, walk away, and repeat at will,
My sanity falling faster than a petal.
Onto my head and falling to my knees,
The contents of a bottle solving an unneeded problem.
You don’t hear the thump and my tears falling down,
But what you can hear is the bird in the trees.

I thought I'd take the time to talk about what this song represents.
This is entirely about a suicide attempt from last summer when my life wasn't going right at all. Its basically the thoughts that ran through my head and the occurrence of the exact times certain things happened. I'm slightly against the fence on sharing this, but I desperately needed to update this.
