It took a week to get Niall to say yes.He wasn't keen on going to this hospital, but it had to be done, it would get the boys off of his back, it would get the media off of his back.

He sounded so coincided, arrogant and hell he knew it. But what would make today different from anything good he's tried to do in the past? Why would this trip to the hospital, this visit to this girl, change the perspective people already had on him? It didn't, and he hated it.

His fingers tapped at the steering wheel as he pulled into a vacant spot. He was stalling. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath through his nose. He needed to calm down, he was about to make someone's day. Deciding that the best thing to do is to actually walk through the doors, he made his way from the car to the front entrance of the hospital.

Niall wasn't even sure how he got to the waiting room on the eleventh floor- he was suprised he even found this area of the hospital, given how big the hospital was. He wasn't sure who to look for, so he decided to find a nurse and explain his situation to her. The smile she gave him was all to fake for him but he decided to ignore it following quietly behind her. When she stopped at a room, she poked her head in talking for a few seconds before a girl stepped out of the room.

"Hi, I'm Jillian thank you so much for coming." He looked at the girl in front of him, she was a good six inches shorter than him, her long brown hair was cascading down her left shoulder, blue eyes framed with naturally thick lashes that, by the looks of them, didn't have an ounce of mascara on them.

Niall, do you think you could show me your sister, I'm kind of in a hurry." Niall gushed watching as Jillian pursued her lips.

"She's my cousin, she'll be ready in a second, yeah." Jillian knew she was being careful when choosing her words. The attitude that he gave off did not go buy unnoticed by her, it bothered her that he could be so inconsiderate.

Biting her tongue she opened the door looking over at Jess. "Hey there's someone here to see you, do you want them to come in now?" Jess sent a nod to Jillian. Pushing the door open Jillian let Niall slide into the room, watching as the smile appeared on Jess's face.

Niall couldn't help but smile as the small girl in front of him wrapped her arms around him hugging him tight. The smile on her face was enough to bring out genuine happiness- which is something he hadn't felt in a while. Slowly he sat down next to the girl- learning that her name is Jess- talking to her, feeling at ease with the seven year old in front of him.

One hour turned to two, and he finally decided to leave. He gave Jess one last hug before saying goodbye to Jillian and making his way out of the room and exiting the hospital.

"How did you get him to come?" Jess asked and Jillian shrugged.

"I asked around, it wasn't that easy." Jillian said picking at her nails. She was happy to make her little cousin happy. Though the moment felt almost bittersweet to Jillian, Jess alone could tally up to be the only person that really meant something to her, and though she brought in her 'hero', she couldn't help but wonder what she was going to do if she had to watch her sit in that hospital bed much longer.

"I love you, thank you so much!" Jess beamed and Jillian couldn't help but laugh.

The two of them settled into a comfortable silence, Jess lay her head back on the pillow and Jillian pursued her lips. "I think your mom is coming in a few minutes, I want to make sure she's here before my shift."

"You're leaving me?" Jess asked and Jillian shook her head.

"No, I just have to work, I'll probably stay at home for the night. But I can be back tomorrow before you get up?" Jillian suggested. Jess reluctantly nodded, she hated when Jillian had to go.

Almost a half hour later, Jess's mom was coming into the hospital. She gave Jillian a quick apology, and money for the bus ride to work. Jillian gave Jess a quick kiss before making her way out of the hospital, she was already late for work but she knew she had to be there.

"Table Six," The head chef called over to Jillian, pulling her from hwr thoughts. He gave her a stern look before shoving the food in her hands.

Jillian let out a heavy breath making her way to the back table. She set the food town, coming face to face with the same boy she saw only hours ago. "Here's your food," Jillian said and Niall sent her a smile.

"It's good to see you again," Niall said, and he wasn't lying for some reason he couldn't get the little girl he met earlier out of his head. He wanted to see her again, Jillian was just the person he needed to see.

"Yeah, thanks again for coming today it meant so much to Jess." Jillian trailed.

Niall opened his mouth to speak, but someone shouting Jillian's name haulted his actions. "I have to go take care of this, I'm sorry." Jillian said, and he could tell she felt uncomfortable.

Jillian walked over to the boy sitting by his friends. "What do you want Matt?" She asked, she didn't need this right now.

"Come on babe, don't be like that." Matt said and she rolled her eyes.

"Don't call me that,"

"Come on Jill, give me a chance, I'm done with all them other girls. I just want you." Matt said. Jillian looked at the ground, shaking her head and walking away.

The rest of her shift consisted of Jillian wiping tables, telling Matt to leave her alone, and wasting time until she needed to leave. She was thankful that when the time came to clock out, he had finally taken the hint and left.

Yelling a goodbye to the rest of the staff she made her way outside. Her feet kicked against the tarmac, as she walked through the parking lot. "Jillian!" She heard a voice yell.

Whipping her head around she saw Niall running up to her. "Hey, let me drive you home." He offered and she bit her lip.

"Oh I don't know, do you really think that's a good idea?"

"Why wouldn't it be?" Niall retorted and Jillian shrugged.

"Have you been drinking?" Jillian blurted watching as Niall's eyes widened.

"What? What the hell did you ask me?" Niall asked. "You served my food! Jesus Jillian, I'm not going to drive drunk-"

"You have before," Jillian stated pointedly. Niall groaned in frustration, running his fingers through his blonde hair. Why was she being so difficult?

"Not with other people in the car," He retorted.

"The point still remains,"

"Do you want a ride or not?" Niall asked annoyed.

"Fine," Niall lead her to the car, sliding into the drivers side. The two of them remained silent and Jillian took notice that Niall hadn't started the car.

"I'm sorry," Niall finally said and Jillian nodded.

"I'm sorry too," She muttered. He finally started the car and she began to tell him directions on how to get her home. When he finally pulled up to her house she thanked him, reaching for the door handle.

"I want to come back," Niall said, Jillian turned her attention to him, "To the hospital, I mean."

Jillian didn't know what to say. On one hand she had no reason to say no, he didn't give her a reason to be put off. But Niall was a celebrity, and celebrities had people who followed them, did she want Jess's life on display like that?

"If you want to, then who am I to say no?" She asked and he smiled. "But there's something you need to know," She said, "If you are coming around Jess you can't be drinking the way you are. I can't take the chance of something happening,"

"Okay," Niall said with a nod. "How's Thursday?" Niall asked and Jillian agreed. She gave him a smile, before getting out of the car.

This was going to be good, this was something Niall needed. Jillian thought to herself, but she had no idea that this was going to be a good thing for her too.
