▸Heathens - Twenty-one Pilots
I groggily woke up in a familiar looking room. Blinking, I raised my hand to rub the sleep out of my eyes. Little dots of red were decorated around my wrist. What? I held both of my wrists in front of me, both showing the pattern. Then it hit me. Theo. The metal binds with spikes. I sat up and looked at my ankles to see that the metal binds were also gone. Wait, where's Lydia? Panicking, I looked around the room in the basement. A whimper caught my attention.
"Lydia? Is that you?" I asked frantically. I stood up, stumbling a bit. I saw blue lights emitting from the room next to mine. Wincing, I pushed the pain away and jogged over. I saw Lydia holding the side of her head. "Lydia!"
"Nevah?" Lydia whispered, looking at me. I slid onto my knees, bringing her into a hug. "You're okay?"
"I've never done this before, Lydia." Theo stormed into the room. I went to press my charm, but Theo caught my hand before I could do so. I glared at him, trying to shake it away. I kicked my leg up, aiming for his head. Theo stumbled to the side, grabbing his temple. I stood up and pressed the charm, hiding Lydia behind me.
"Theo, stay away." I pointed my sword at him. Theo stalked up to me, glaring at the sword. I slashed the blade across his chest, blooding blooming. Theo howled in pain, stumbling back a bit. I smirked, twirling my sword. Theo made his way to me. I swung my sword again in havoc. Slashes and grunts were echoing throughout the basement.
Theo swiped his claws at my face. I leaned back, to the point to where my head almost touched the floor. I kicked my foot into Theo's face. I stood up straight again, raising my sword. Theo ducked, grabbing my wrist. I glared and brought my elbow to his nose. A crunch was heard followed by a gasp. Theo let go of my sword, swiping away the blood dripping onto his lips with the back of his hand.
"You know, Nevah." Theo said, walking sideways, eyeing my celestial bronze blade. "I always knew you were a great swordsman. But how are you with hand-to-hand combat?"
"Amazing." I did a roundhouse kick to his temple again. Theo shuffled, twirling around me. He grabbed my wrist and snapped it. I bit back a scream, using my other hand to yield my sword. Theo suddenly grabbed me by the waist and threw me across the room. My back instantly collided to the stone wall. I cried out in pain. I landed in a heap on the floor, completely dazed. I shakily stood up, only to fall onto the floor again. "Okay...I'll admit it. I didn't see that coming."
"I know how dangerous it is. But it's a risk we have to take. " Theo grunted out, walking up towards Lydia. I tried to push myself up, ignoring the pounding headache and pain.
"No, no, don't!" Lydia protested, trying to walking backwards. She swung her arms forward, trying to hit him. Theo grabbed a hold of her arms, claws wrapping around her wrist. He held both of her wrists with one hand as the other went towards her neck.
"Theo no!" I jumped up to my feet, stumbling a bit. Theo inserted his claws into the back of Lydia's neck. Lydia's mouth opened in shock, her eyes wide. "Lydia!"
"What do you think, Lydia? Am I doing it right?" Theo gritted out. I stopped and looked at Lydia in worry. The pack has told me about the method an Alpha can do by inserting their claws into the back of someone's neck to access their memories. Theo isn't an Alpha. How is he doing this? I can't do anything. I can't help her. I will only make it worse. Theo looked up, seeming to be in some sort of daze. "Yes, I see it. I can see it."
Theo yanked his hands away from Lydia's neck and walked towards the cylinder that Liam was hooked up to when we were captured. I instantly rushed forward, ignoring Theo. Lydia was my top priority right now. Lydia was looking straight forward, kneeling on the wet floor. She wasn't even acknowledging me. She was out of it.
