Hello! :)

I'm so sorry for the late update! And also, sorry for the short chapter.

But I would like to thank every single one of you for you amazing support on my story! I've reached 7,000 reads and that's just.. I still can't believe it! Thank you! :)

I've published a new story called Ellie just yesterday. I had to, I really had to because that one idea wouldn't get out of my head. So it'd be pretty awesome if some of you could take a quick look at it and tell me how it is! :)

Those deeply spoken words vanished into thin air as I watched Dallas freezing in her spot. Holding my breath, I did not dare to make any sorts of movements and even though I wanted to catch a glimpse at the person standing in the room, I was glad for Dallas sitting in front of me at the edge of the bed and blocking my view from the entrance to the room. I knew that whoever entered the room and overheard our conversation was not to mess with and having Dallas with me gave me some comfort, knowing that I was not all on my own. But at the same time, I was scared. Scared because Dallas was not the person she gave out to be.

She is one of them, I thought in a daze as the woman in front of me was reflected in a whole new light for me to see. And it was not the good kind.

Not by choice, though, the voice inside my head said in a whisper. It was right, she did not become one of them because she wanted to, she submitted herself for the safety of her family but still, I could not ignore the incertitude building itself in me.

"I overheard that the human arrived a few days ago," the man himself broke the thick tension with his deep voice. A shiver ran down my spine as he especially emphasized the word human. In that moment, I wanted nothing more than just to hide under the blankets but I did not dare to move only a single muscle.

"Let me rephrase that, I can smell that she is here," my eyes were closed shut as I concentrated on having a steady and calm breathing. I was in room with a vampire and an unknown man who probably as well, was something alike Dallas, or even worse, him. "And how good she does smell," upon hearing that, my eyes snapped open and met Dallas who was narrowing her eyes.

"I don't think that besides keeping an eye on the palace, interfering into conversations that are none of your business was your duty, too, Tristan," my eyes grew wide at the venom I could hear Dallas' voice as she quoted him and I knew that things would not go as smoothly over.

"Look at that," I heard a deep chuckle echoing around the walls of the small room I was being held in ever since I arrived here. "Got one friend and instantly thinks she can talk back." A chill ran down my spine at his ambiguous reply.

"The master will not be pleased to hear that you were in here," Dallas said back just as coldly.

"Do not forget who you are talking to, sweet Dallas," he added darkly. I heard the sound of someone taking a step and as I lifted my head up to what was going on,  one pitch black and one white eye were starring back at me. My breath got caught in my throat upon the unexpected sight in front of me and before I could shift my gaze away, he parted his lips to speak.

"Dallas?" He called out, not ever once moving his gaze away from mine. I could feel my palms getting sweaty as my heart begun quicken its pace under his venomous gaze.

"Yes?" I could hear the annoyance in her voice but among all of the hatred she seemed to have for him, the slight fright was not unheard by me in her reply.
