He should be feeling so many emotions at once. Caution, alarm, perhaps even fright but the older sibling out of the two White's did not show any of these or just did a very good at hiding them from the intimidating man standing in front of him.

What was there to be scared about? The young White thought to himself. Nothing could scare or concern him more than the fact that his little sister was still somewhere out there. And that for about almost three weeks that is, without any traces of her whatsoever that could be signs of her well-being. Of her being alive.

A silence followed at the repetition of his question and Carter could not only feel the irritation building itself in him, but the anger as well. Suddenly, a wave so thick and strong hit him with only one emotion. One out of many he tried his best at avoiding. Though, with the days passing by of worrying about his little sister's well-being, of getting no answers from the police men or any other bystanders who could be of help, that one emotion he tried to keep at bay had risen so excessive that all of it came crushing down on him so suddenly. Especially then, when a stranger did show up in the middle of the night in his house. And that, without an invitation.

Had he not already enough on his plate to deal with? But now a stranger, too? One from head to toe tattooed one that is?

"Listen," Carter began, "I have no idea how you came, who you are and what you want but please, just do me favor and fuck off.“

Carter did not have an idea of how the stranger might would react at his little outburst. Alright, he was well aware of the fact that no person would leave just like that after being asked so because clearly, there had to be a reason for making such an approach like he did. Though, there was one way he did not think of how he would react like. The man standing in front of him, clothed in black, inked in black letters and numbers all over his bare arms and face was not budging even an inch from his spot as he starred with his pitch black eyes at Carter. And it was the sound of his laughter which had left Carter somewhat shocked to hear his amused, yet so dark and rich chuckle echoing around the whole flat.

"A favor is what I will do, Carter White,“ he said, smiling bemusedly at him. Every time he would mention his name, a shiver would involuntarily run down his spine because he just knew that this man was not good news. "Though, I'm afraid it will contain me staying in here, and not fucking off as you did put it.“

     "How-“

"Let us keep the questions for later, shall we Carter White? I think there are more significant matters to be talked about, aren't there?“ The man said curtly, taking the distraught state of the young man in front of him as a cue to continue. "It is not of importance of who I am or how I came here. What of importance is, Carter White, is the fact I trust you with something which could be the reason for your death once it's being broken.“

Carter could only stare at him silently, wondering to himself if the many nights he spent wide awake finally had gotten to him and if now his mind was playing some tricks on him. How possibly else would he seeing a man, one so strange that is, in his house? It had to be a dream.

"You may want to sit down, Carter White. We have some matters to talk about," he said. And suddenly, a cold rush of icy air brushed past him and as he opened his eyes again once the warmth of the room slowly enveloped him again, he could only blink in confusion once again upon seen that the man was not stood in front of him anymore but seated at the other side of room. And that in a matter of a time which would be impossible for any other human being to do so.
