 Hi! :)

There's not much to tell so go ahead and enjoy! But did you notice that I updated earlier than usual? For that, I am going to pat myself on the back because I definitely deserve that for getting better at updating! :D

And, I am also setting goals again because I noticed that with them, I am always on time with updating. Well, it depends on how quick the goal is reached. So yeah, that's it. :)

It was risky, alright. The consequences of what would happen the moment he finds out, were the only things on my mind right now, trying, pleading even to stop what I was about to do. I was not naive. I knew that nothing but bad things would come my way once I would actually push the fright of mine aside and just went for it. But something held me back. A voice, so soft and invitingly warm appeared out of nowhere and for just the slightest bit, I was sure that the voice I heard was real. That the person the voice belonged to, had been by my side, all along.

"If a man were to buy you a ring like this," I heard my mother say, showing straight white teeth as she smiled at me knowingly, pointing with her manicured finger at a picture of a beautiful diamond ring. It was simple, not too big and not too small, nor was it too much with its sparkling diamond placed in the middle. "Then, he definitely is the right one for you."

Rolling my eyes at her comment, a laugh escaped my lips as my mother put the magazine aside while her features softened up. "Honey, I'm sure that whoever is going to marry you, will be a lucky man but not he will be the happiest,  it'll be your dad and me. Watching you and your husband say the marriage vow, your children grow and-"

"Mom," I said with a soft laugh, shaking my head at her.

"No, honey. I don't want to leave you before seeing your brother and you having own families," she said, her gaze flickering with happiness upon talking about how badly she wanted to have some grandchildren.

My knuckles were turning white from the amount of pressure I put on them as I gripped onto the soft, silky white fabric tightly. Reopening my eyes, I looked down with a slightly blurred vision to see the beautiful dress he had given me. "Put it on and if there are any problems, tell Dallas and she'll fix it," he had said with a cold tone, not even glancing at me for a second as he slammed the door shut behind him and locked it. Whether I was relieved of his very short visit that seemed to be so unlike him, I did not know because I still had a very hard time coping with the fact that he truly meant every single word which included the marriage.

I knew very well that soon, Dallas would come up stumbling into my room, not only asking of the dress fit me well but question if I was alright after she confessed me that she as well, was a creature under his force. But instead of doing what had been told me to do by that bastard himself, I not once moved from my spot on the bed with the heavy wedding dress on my lap as I was having an inner debate with myself.

The sane part of me, which consisted on a very small amount, wanted to do what he had told me to so there would be no questions and consequences thrown my way. The other part of me though, just wanted to accomplish the plan I had created in my mind after the visit of Tristan I got. It was still beyond me as to why he would like to help me, let alone consider the fact to offer me some help but in a way, I was thankful because now, I was very determined to rebel. I was ready to fight for my freedom. Not only for me, but for my brother, too. I wanted him to live his life, to get back on track before the accident and with me suddenly disappeared, I did not think that he would manage that on his own.
