The City
City lights dance in my irises as they twinkle
Illuminating streets of unfamiliar faces
Screens scream and shout with vivid color
Overpowering words of black and white
Buildings tower above all as glass giants
Reflecting millions of lives as a single mirror
Yet the lights can't blind your sinister smile
Glaring from faces with distorted features
Screens can't compete with your evil hues
Turning my world gray with a stroke of red
Your shadow looms higher than the giants
Shattering my life like a broken mirror
