Walls
Walls conceal me from the unknown world
That beckons me to come close and embrace
As light slips through fingertips and cracks
Created by hands who seek to touch more
Voices resonate within my ears full of delight
Fueling imagination that soars with the clouds
As winds whistle and flowers sing with glee
Unheard by ears hearing cries from another day
Aromas dance on my nostrils with grace
Pulling me closer with their sweet fixation
As pines and hazelnuts thrive among trees
Ignored by nostrils that smell tears made anew
Silky grass plains invite coarse feet to roam
Cleansing my soul with every bristle stroke
As my feet remain motionless on barren land
Scarred from thorns hidden within the world
Your appearance dilates my eyes like the moon
Glistening in the sunlight like a tranquil ocean
As hurricanes brew within my sea of blue
Remembering the storm that brought me under
Memories of exuberant happiness uplift my heart
Reliving childhood without worries or fears
As my mind prepares for the worst in life
Building walls to conceal the outside world
