"I thought you'd never show up". Nicolas said.

I haven't seen Michael in almost a year, except for the multiple times I saw him on the television with multiple women one after the other. I just wish it didn't hurt so much.

Ok calm yourself. I mentally cleared my throat, pulled my chair out and sit ignoring him.

"I'm here now Mr Perry. What is this partnership I heard about?" I'm looking at Nicolas trying to prevent myself from looking at him. Nicolas took care of me until I could take care of myself and I'm grateful for that. Even if I'm upset with him for bringing that bastard here, I have to look pass it.

"There's a new project that needs to be worked on immediately. It has to do with the country development. We got the information yesturday and decided to see you today".

"Me but why?" They're a lot of other people they could've choose.

"Your company in a long time, is the only that thrive this much in such a short period of time. This is what we're looking for". I look at everyone else and they all are smiling. . .well not everyone.

"Are you in?" My eyes flashed at him. He's well groomed. He has whiskers, and beard that is cut really low. He isn't a cute teenager anymore. He's a handsome grown man.

"Are you in?" The bastard repeated in a demanding demeanour. Sh*t even after five years I still get distracted by him.

"Let me see the documents". I cant accept something I don't know about. Nicolas passed it to someone who continued to pass it until its right in front of me. I opened the folder. I wanna take a quick scan through but make sure not to leave out the important parts.

Soon I'm finished then I closed the folder and rest it in front of me. I look up, then look at Nicolas and frown.

"Mr Perry based on what I've read, this plan cannot be a success with such small amount of capital". This is nonsense. Suddenly everyone has a surprised expression except for Nicolas and his son.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I told everyone that you'll figure it out. Your the right person for this project Akeilia. Not everyone would've figured that out with no specific information. Your a smart woman and that is part of what we need to accomplish this project". Everyone nod in agreement. I intertwined my fingers on the desk.

"You still hasn't answered my question about the partnership".

Nicolas son cleared his throat, but I ignored him.

"I'm your partner". I looked at him in shock, then look back at Nicolas.

"Is that true Mr Perry?" I calmly asked trying compose my anger.

"Yes with both of your brains working together, there's no doubt we won't achieve this".

Everyone also nods in agreement to that. I slowly stand from my chair.

"Well then. . .I guess I'll have no choice than to decline. I will not partner with him". I said to Nicolas. His smile dropped and everyone is whispering to each other. Nicolas stand from his chair, but he didn't. He's just sitting there glaring at me.

I turn around walking towards the door.

"Madam what are you-". I brushed pass Lenoy without ignoring him.
