As we descend the stairs with me in front of Michael, all eyes was on us even Mr Perry, but he was smiling. I can tell they know what we did. The bodyguards were just standing at the door like statues. The workers are doing their usual thing. I haven't seen the kids.Oh my gosh uncle Nathan is also down there sitting on the couch. I feel so embarrassed. He's waiting and I was upstairs having sex and I'm sure he knows it. Worst part? He looks exactly like my dad. Ugh!
Soon we reached where Mr Perry and uncle Nathan was sitting. They're now standing, but Mr Perry was the only one smiling at us. I'm sure that smile is not a normal welcome smile. Uncle only had a simple expression, probably doesn't want me to feel too edgy, but I already am because I'm sure he knew what happened upstairs.
I realized that we're the only ones standing here. Everyone else are far from us glancing every now and again.
Guess who I spotted?
"Akeilia my dear". Nicolas said and embraced me. He looks a little older now but not much different. His facial hair are growing back.
"Hi Nick". I embraced him too.
"My favourite Niece. How are you feeling?" Uncle N said and embraced me as soon as I pulled away from Nick. He had grown a bit older too, but that's it. Both he and Nick are still slim with strong arms. I say strong arms because I can see it. It doesn't look as if its bursting their shirt like Michael's, but its visible. Seem as if they're still working out. They're supposed to be in their fifties soon sixty..I think. I'm not sure.
"I'm ok now. I guess".
"Come on, both of you sit. we have some serious business to discuss". Uncle said and Nick nodded in agreement.
We both sit beside each other and they sit opposite of us.
"Did anything come up?" Michael asked.
"No not yet but we're still working on it". Nick replied.
"These people almost killed us, mostly Akeilia. We need to find them. Somebody must have seen them or something". Nick and uncle N looked at the side my wound is with despair.
"They were able to do that Michael because you disobeyed me. I told you multiply times to allow as many bodyguards with you wherever you go, but you wouldn't listen. You think that you can protect yourself but you can't. Your my son for Christ sakes. People are gonna want to kidnap you or want you dead. If you knew that you were gonna bring Akeilia here, why risk it by yourself?"
I slowly look at Michael. He doesn't look angry, but regretful.
"I wasn't planning to father or I would've. It just...happened". He said then look at me. I love him so much.
"If she'd died is that what you'd say?"
"Can't you drop it now?"
"I only want you to get what I'm saying. You can't be this careless. Akeilia is Daniel's only daughter and she hadn't even bare a child yet. She's the only living memory of him. I trusted you to protect her". Protect me?
"It won't happen again. I can promise you that". Michael replied.
"I really hope so. I really do".
"If something like this happen again on your cost Michael...I'm gonna have to let her leave the country and have her protected there". What? I look at uncle N.
"You can't do that". I told him frowning.
"It. will not. happen. again". Michael repeated trying to make himself clear.
