It's finally here! What you've been waiting for.I just wanna say something first.
I wanna apologise for taking sooo long to update. But otherwise from my life outside Wattpad, you will soon see why it took me so long. It took tons of time plotting what to write next and how to put it together perfectly.
I just really hoped you would comment a lot you know? Make me feel good since😭 since it's the last of I'm Still Here.
Michael POV
"Thank you Mason for that wonderful presentation. You got the judges smiling. I wonder what's on their minds". Garnet said smiling while the audience cheered. It was already night. The main reason I chose to go last, was if my wife went into labor I could just cancel and left, but that wasn't an option now.
"There's just one contestant left everyone. This year he decided to come up last. He'd never lost a competition since it started. How clever. Do you know who that is?"
"Mr Perry!"
"Mr Perry!" The crowd cheered, ladies were screaming. Even men. I wasn't fond of that at all.
I was watching on the inside. I saw them as the video man viewed the audience.
I stepped off towards the door.
I was used to this. Not that I was tired of it, because sometimes I liked the attention.
"I'm taking it this year". Trench stopped me to say with that smirk that never left his face.
I put my hand at my ear and looked up.
"Who's name are they calling?" I rhetorically asked before I removed my hand and looked back at him with a smirk.
"Hey they cheered for me too". He defended.
He looked at my hands. For the first time I saw that smirk left his face.
"Your gonna need your laptop why aren't you bringing it?" I smirked even more.
"I've got hands, a mouth and an unusual brain". I pointed at my head confidently. He gave me a nervous chuckle.
"Well I don't think I need to say anything else. Mr Perry please step on stage". Garnet finished.
I walked off leaving his mouth ajar.
Of course he'd be confused. No one had ever went up there without there laptops to show their presentation, on the projector. Neither had I, but this time I was going without it. Gonna show off the smart ass I was for the first time.
After this one, I won't be participating in the competition anymore. It was time for someone else to shine.
The moment I reached outside, my bodyguards accompanied me. In this case I was ok with it. There was no telling what people would've done, even though this place was loaded with authorities. There was some real psychos out there. They looked and dressed like normal people, but their upstairs were shredded.
I wasn't so worked up about the guards anymore. If I'd listened to my father in the first place, maybe most of what happened to us wouldn't have. Sometimes thinking of protecting ones self fell under the same category as selfish and arrogant. One can't always protect ones self. My wife was at home and I was at the competition, I couldn't protect her from there.
I'd advise anyone, to not be stubborn for their own good.
As I made my way to the stage, more applause and screaming erupted.
