Once I was in the safety of my room I leaned up against the door and let out a breath. That was really weird. I shouldn't have done it, but when I look back on it I knew I wanted to... Did that make sense? I wanted to do inappropriate things with Gaara... My reflection and I exchanged a confused look. I had never experienced things like this before, and it seemed that the second I stepped up to the Konoha gates I began to change. I didn't like the way my image seemed to blur from the things I had just done...From now on I think I'll stick to kissing Kakashi. I smirked at the thought and quickly exchanged my kimono for a clean one. Brushing my fingers through my hair I gave my reflection a final look before walking out of my room. As I passed the living room I saw Temari and Kankuro hadn't moved from their spots, and Gaara was once again leaning up against the wall watching the Discovery channel with disinterest and confusion. I walked in and stood in front of the offending television.

"so which one of you will be trailing me on my date?" I asked them. They all stared blankly at me for a second before Kankuro said

"Baki - Sensei wanted Gaara to do it, seeming how he's most likely to be able to protect you" he scratched the back of his head trying to peer around me at the TV. I sighed and looked at Gaara

"you ready?" I asked him in a monotone, fighting of the heat that was threatening to spread to my cheeks. He glanced at me, and nodded. Just seconds afterward there was a knock at the door I blushed and opened it. Kakashi gave me his one eyed smile

"hey Liiran, you ready for our date?" he asked. By now all three of my teamates were watching us interact with open curiosity. I smirked

"yup" I said. I heard Kankuro cough and sighed. "come meet my teammates, AND KANKURO TURN THAT STUPID SHOW OFF!" I ended in a yell. I heard Temari stifle a laugh and gave Kakashi an apologetic look. He just took my hand and pulled me close while I lead him into the living room. As Kakashi stepped in I saw the three siblings eyes all widen. I could tell what each of them were thinking; for Kankuro it was probably like 'he doesn't look that special' and Temari would be like 'wow hes cute' and Gaara would be thinking 'so this is the guy who was biting Liiran' there was an awkward silence and I said

"guys this is Kakashi, he's a leaf sensei. Kakashi these are my teammates Temari, Kankuro and Gaara" I gestured to each of them in turn. They all nodded and I smirked.

"so your the Sand genin eh?" he asked. My teammates and I smirked

"we are the most dangerous team here" Kankuro began

"so you better not be thinking that your team can even come close to us" Temari finished. I heard Kakashi chuckle in amusement and I looked at him

"we're serius" I mumbled. He looked at me in confusion.

"surely your not the most dangerous?" he asked quietly. I looked at my teammates

"you'll see" we said in unison. Kakashi looked a little dazed and I quickly excused us, giving Gaara a meaningful look before we headed out the door hand in hand. After a while of walking Kakashi said

"so... your teammates are a little...." he trailed off, unsure of what to say

"they were staring at you pretty funny huh?" I asked, smirking to myself "don't blame them for it though, I've never done this before" he looked curiously at me

"you've never had a boyfriend?" he asked. I shook my head and he smirked "well your doing a good job for a rookie" he whispered, before pulling me close to him and kissing me. I smirked again as he pulled away and we continued walking.

"why is that?" he asked "that you've never had a boyfriend?" I sighed

"are you sure that you want to hear the story? It's long" he smiled and nodded and I began

"as a child I was found at the gates of Suna, a babe, no older than seven months. I was scar free with the prettiest black curls and the biggest golden eyes the Kage had ever seen. He put me up for adoption, and soon a rich family took me in. they gave me a name you see, I was Suki, and that was the name I answered to for the longest time. As I aged it became evident that my affinity would be lightning. Soon people noticed that when I was around they felt inclined to love me. After a while it was determined I had the gift of Siren. people changed from the loving caring people that I knew, to the hateful bitter people I have grown to see. My family started to avoid me, and eventually my best friend snapped and told me that I was unloved, unwanted and it became evident to me that my life was filled of nothing but lies. That night there was a lightning storm, and while I was out training alone like I always did lightning struck my home and it burned to the ground, with my family inside." Kakashi looked at me in pity and sadness and I continued

"the Kage told me to get as job, find a home, and build my own future. No one would help me, and I became tired of who I was, of who they saw me as. I changed my name to Liiran, the name I had always thought of as lightning. I fought my way through the crowds, forced people to give me money, forced them to forget they did. I got an apartment, a job, a new name, and a new life. I was out training like i always did, when a group of rogue ninja's surrounded me. As they attacked it became apparent that one man had felt pity for me, that he didn't want to kill me, and I didn't have to use siren. Soon he turned on his own team, to protect me. I was young, and scared, but when I saw one of this mans teammates coming towards him unnoticed I did the only thing I could, I jumped in the way" as I said that I absentmindedly touched the scar over me face

"the man saw me fall, then he pulled out the most magnificent sword I had ever seen. He killed them all, and then he left, taking me with him. I awoke as the man carried me and he looked down at me and said 'your the stupidest child I have ever met' and I just clung to him, with a smile that no one ever see's anymore. the mans name was Zabuza" I saw Kakashi flinch and look guiltily at me, but I ignored him and kept going afraid that if I stopped I would be able to finish the story that no one has ever heard before. the Story Behind Lirran.

"he trained me, taught me everything I knew, gave me a third chance at a family, and I took it. We killed and we destroyed, and we were strong together. People saw us as monsters, but it is they that are monsters, for forcing us out of happiness and into exile" I clenched my fists "for three years we traveled together, and I soon came into the habit of calling him dad." I squeezed my eyes shut and took a deep breath "then we found Haku. He was so innocent, so pure, and exiled like us. Dad took pity on the child, and soon enough we had a new addition to our family." I sighed "dad loved Haku, and I soon became a third wheel. Although I loved my new family, I knew that I would need to return to Suna, and so one night I left them a letter, kissed their foreheads, and made my way back to Suna.. people treated me the same as before, but I was stronger and learned I didn't need love, all I needed was myself. I pushed everyone away and things were good" I stopped and looked at Kakashi, who was staring forward in silence.

"it wasnt til we arrived here that I have began to feel different." I concluded quietly. Kakashi sighed and pulled me into his arms, holding me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around him and smiled

"thank you for listening" I murmured. he stroked my hair and said

"thank you for opening up to me" we continued on with our date and Kakashi carefully avoided serious topics, focusing on little things, like my favorite foods and colors. He walked me home, gave me a passionate kiss and left. I stood outside of the apartment and felt a presence behind me

"yes Gaara?" I asked. He stepped forward and looked into my eyes

"good night" was all he said, before pushing past me into the apartment. I walked in and smiled at my teammates.

"how was your date?" Temari asked. I smirked

"it was fun" I said she laughed

"I could tell, you were outside the door kissing for like ten minutes" I smiled and sat on the couch across from her. She was glaring at the remote and I smirked, snatched it away from her and flipped it to the sports channel. She cast me a grateful look and I just smiled at her. We watched football for a while and soon we both fell asleep on the couch, and my last thought before slipping into the darkness was 'is this my new family?'
