"We could've saved him.

They could've saved me.

But instead I'm here drowning in my own fucking mind,

And I'll be damned if you're the death of me.

Blood and ink stain the walls.

Silently with bloody knuckles, I carry on,

Hoping it's not too wrong.

You said the nights were far too long.

'Honey, it's just the start of it'."

Chapter Two - Final Episode (Let's Change The Channel)

BALT

I'd never seen Marcus so angry.  If he were a cartoon character, you'd see the steam coming out of his ears and nose – maybe even his eyes!  I, on the other hand, was hating on those angels.  Especially that one blue-eyed, deceiving angel.  I should have known - she reeked of innocence but I just brushed it off.  That and there was not a single flaw with her; even when she asked what a pick-up line was, it wasn't a ditzy way.  How on Earth did she ask that without sounding stupid?  That should have been when I realised what she was but I let my God damned subconscious lead me.

“I hope you enjoyed your little stunt!”  Marcus roared at Saria.  His face was turning crimson.  It wasn't a pretty sight, not that he was a pretty sight to look at anyway...

“I did.  I got myself some wings.  I thought it would take me a while.  Turns out, just one strong rip!”  Saria smirked and I felt sick.  I scowled at that feeling.  I shouldn't be feeling like this.  I shouldn't have someone like her be my soul mate.  Someone like her invading my thoughts.  It wasn't possible.  It couldn't be possible.

“She was innocent!”  I didn't know why Marcus was defending Imogen.  She was an angel and I bet if she had the chance she'd kill us.

You know she wouldn't.  I ignored my subconscious.  I knew better – I'd seen them some of them in action.  Oh, Lucifer, I was sounding like Saria now.  That was even worse than thinking about being with an angel.  She was filled with complete hatred.

“Oh, please.  They're all deceiving little witches.”  Saria spat.

“So that gives you the right to rip off her wings!?  To claim them as your own?”

“I was doing her a favour.”  She smiled slyly and checked her nails, acting like she didn't care.  It probably wasn't even an act either!

“You damned her to Earth.”  I looked over at their argument.  No use in me getting involved, it wouldn't do any good and one of them would be mad at me.  I watched as they both stood up, getting into each other's faces.  I knew I had to end it before one of them attacked the other and once that happened... there was no stopping them.
