Chapter 8: the grade 8 pool party

Ok so today is the geade 8 pool party but I'm so nervous because I really want to make a good first impression on my classmates. I first need to make it to the end of a school day before the party starts.

Mr. Lockwood gave us our very first technology assignment and it was to build a carnival ride. I was so worried because it was a group assignment and I never really bonded with my classmates yet. The project is due in three weeks which gives me time to bond with some of my classmates.

There was so much work and I was so tired that I thought I was going to bail on the party but then it occurred to me that I needed a group for technology and I wanted to be elected linked-in-learner.

After so much work, it was only first break! It's even a Friday which meant classes were cut 15 minutes than usual. It felt like I have been working for 8 hours already. When was the day going to end!  It felt like a nightmare!

I decided to look for Emma and I found her. I asked her if she's going to the party but she totally forgot about it and left her swimwear at home. She said that she will be there but she will leave a bit early.

It was the end of the day which meant " party time !" I couldn't find Emma anywhere so I just changed into my swimwear and headed for the pool.

I finally found Emma. The pool was full so I never felt like swimming so I just went to sit with her.

I never bonded with any one of my classmates because I was so shy to talk to them. I knew that now I wouldn't get to be linked in learner because no one knew me. Oh well, at least I had fun with Emma at the pool party until she left. I was really sad because I was having so much fun and now I had to stay at the party for another 2 hours.

"OH MY GOSH! I JUST WANTED TO GO HOME BECAUSE I WAS SO BORED!"
