GLORY;; Just, in general.
She's beauty, she's grace, she deserves a brick in that flawless face because DAYUM this character needs some flaws.
She's got it all, this pretty girl - although she never had the best past life. She was raised separately from her tribe, by horrendously abusive caretakers who constantly hit her and made her lift a misery, resulting in her aversion to everyone touching her... or even thinking about her. She hates having to ask for help - she views it as weak, except when others are asking her for help - and she detests being made the centre of attention. Oh, angst, angst - she's not truly meant to be in the prophecy? But no - she doesn't care.
Instead, she'll fulfil it while becoming the queen of her tribe. As one does.
If a person in this fandom - let's say a struggling, less developed artist - created an OC with this personality, they would be set on fire and thrown into the NightWing volcano for Mary Sue overload. So why is it that the only canon Sue in this fandom is loved, dearly, by everyone?
She's no different to any other female protagonist you see in books and movies - just the right balance of Pretty But Oblivious™, Smart But Sarcastic™ and Leader Who Does Not Trust Anybody™ (with a side serving of Except One Heterosexual Love Interest Whom She Still Regularly Shoots Down™).
No, homophobes, I am not hating on Glory because she is straight. I am hating on Glory because every single aspect of her personality is a carbon copy of those used in older fantasy books. She has no real unique qualities - she's a fairly balanced character, but there's nothing new in there.
I think I could possibly have gained some more respect for her if she hadn't been quite to reliant on the wrong things: i.e. herself and her predictable love interest. Of course, Deathbringer had to fall in love with his victim - the dragon whose tribe his tribe hated. In addition to the fact that she hated NightWings personally.
But, by all means. Let's make her our queen. Hail Queen Glory, ruler of the SueWings and conquerer of the FanWings.
I am prepared for the tide of hate which follows this.

HOW TO SPELL PYRRHIA;; Peril, You Really Really Have Irritated Anemone.
Phrrya. Pryhha. Pyrrha. Pyrriha. Piarrhya. Parhhyi. Pirrhya. Freaking diarrhoea with a "P" on the front end.
Please, please, please look up how to spell Pyrrhia if you are uncertain and intend to use the word. For things like usernames, roleplay groups, stories and even general RP posts, there is nothing worse than seeing someone spelling the name of the setting wrong.
If you guys need something to remember it by, I often recite a little rhyme in my head: Peril, You Really Really Have Irritated Anemone.

HOW TO SPELL QIBLI;; Queenliness Isn't Beautiful, Look Inside!
Why. Is. This. So. Difficult. For. Fandom. Members. To. Understand?
Qibli, spelled Q-I-B-L-I in the canon (refer to The Brightest Night, Moon Rising, Winter Turning and Escaping Peril), is one of the few words which defies the English language and is spelled WITHOUT the "U" beside the "Q". The word originates from "Ghibli" (also spelled Gibli), which is a name for a mediterranean wind - and thus is unlikely to have been originally English.
Names such as Qinter (Qibli x Winter) will not, therefore, be spelled with a sudden random "U". Quinter is definitely not Qibli x Winter - where did that little "U" come from? Umber? Queen Glory? The mysterious UWings, who reside in the furthest reaches of the FanWing colonies?
Edit: So people have asked me for a Qibli rhyme, so -

Another little peeve I've seen going round is the spelling of Qibli as "Quible". How do you even pronounce that? "Kwibble"? Sounds like "dribble" to me. Kibble. TerrIBLE.
This, I think, possibly originated from the Instagram user Quillbe (also a friend of mine; shoutout to you, Quii), a growingly popular artist whom y'all should definitely check out. Quiilbe, as far as I am aware, is closer to "quill" than "Qibli".
Poor little Quible, living in the outskirts of Pryhhia. Whatever shall he do?

THE FANDOM;; Just, the fandom.
Why, why, why, why, why is this fandom so cursed? The series began as a charming adventure, but somehow its fans have become caught up in a constant scramble for who can create the most improbable scenarios, characters, ideas and arguments. Scrambling bitterly beneath the few artists we possess, those precious few who aren't constantly trying to win the approval of superiors are pushed aside to the back and left to rot.
Anyway, I couldn't condense this into one, so here's a list of the basic gist.
Ships...
Sunnyflight or Starspeaker? Wintermoon or Moonbli? GLORYBRINGER IS THE ONLY SHIP WHICH WILL BE ACCEPTED OF GLORY AND DEATHY. People seem fixated on the canon ships, pushing aside even a moment's thought. I've seen people attacked, fanart criticised and fanfictions shaming people's ships. Why can't we all just get along?

OCs...
Animus powers are rare and only exist in a few tribes, whose genetics are carefully controlled. Perfect! Let's make ALL our characters animi.
Hybrids are uncommon and likely face discriminatory and oppressive actions, as well as controversial opinions. I know! We'll make all our characters hybrids with no emotional barriers whatsoever (aside from their dead parents and tragic backstories, of course).
IceWings are very rigid and hate NightWings. They spend all their time in the kingdom for fear of losing their rank, and detest other tribes. Except my character! My OC is the princess, retains a solid first place in the first circle, and is also half NightWing.
People create the most unlikely, unrealistic characters possible - and don't get me started on AllWings.
Hate/Homophobia...
Fourth moons and fireballs, just let the Umbli shippers be! People should not be allowed to attack LGBT+ people for being queer, or shout loudly that it's wrong. Yes, you are allowed to have your opinion - no, you should not let your opinion affect other people negatively.

Looking at everyone on Instagram, everywhere. I need say nothing, for those who understand will sympathise.

How many people do you know who use a purple, starry RainWing who has a NightWing parent? Chances are, they've had a peep at JereduLevenin's OC Starwind. Liighty, RhynoBullRaq, xTheDragonRebornx and other such artists especially are frequently copied for their work, and rarely ever given credit.
