But does anyone notice there's a corpse in this bed

I woke up to my phone ringing in the clutch of my hands.

I've been here before, a few times
And I'm quite aware we're dying.
And your hands, they shake with goodbyes
And I'll take you back if you'd have me
So here I am I'm trying
So here I am are you ready

Come on let me hold you, touch you, feel you
Always
Kiss you, taste you all night
Always

It was Blink 182: Always, the song set to play when Asher called.

A smile formed on my lips as i slid the answer button and listened to his voice.

"Hey Bee!" His voice was beautiful.

"Hi Asher!" I beamed but my voice was choaked.

"Sh*t! I've just woken you up, haven't I. I'm sorry Bee, I really am! I shouldn't have called -" He was protective over me and he knew how little I slept.

"Ash, no, no - I'm fine, I'm okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I've been asleep for hours anyways. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, of course I'm fine. I just wanted to hear your voice."

My heart skipped a beat. He was so sweet.

It was 4 am. And he called just to hear my voice. He made me feel so important, he made the bad thoughts go away, he made me feel like I could do absolutely anything without a single care in the world.

"I love you Ash!" My voice gentle and soft.

"I love you too Bandit!" He whispered, then added "did you eat today?"

I lied. "Yeah of course!"

"Great, you need to keep eating Bee, it's not good for you otherwise." He was careing and it was nice and all, but I can take care of myself. If I'd told him that I hadn't eaten tonight, he would have walked here and cooked me something. He treated me differently, like he knew something I didn't.

"We should both probably get some sleep." His voice sounded down my phone.

I nodded before realising he wouldn't have known I'd just done that so i spoke up, "Yeah, sure. Goodnight Ash - I love you, so much!"

"Never forget how beautiful you are!" He whispered then hung up.

I set my phone down on my nightstand and played with the sheets, intertwining them through my fingers, weaving them in and out until I drifted off back to sleep.

Sorry it's such a short chapter!
