°The hardest part is letting go of your dreams°
I woke up to my alarm again this morning.
I groaned in annoyance and hit the 'off' button before ripping the sheets off of my body.
I'd fallen asleep in the clothes Asher had leant me yesterday by accident but still, they were so comforting as his aftershave still lingered around them.
I smiled at this before getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom.
All I could hear were my dads snores as he slept on the sofa in the living room.
I brushed my teeth and began to prepare to have a shower.
The smell of shampoo filled the air.
I came out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself then brushed my teeth.
From there, I headed back to my room to get ready.
I began to dry my hair with the hair dryer, scrunching it and running my fingers in between each strand brushing it free of knotts.
I slipped on my black skinny jeans and then, over the top of my black, lacey bra, I pulled over my Blink 182 t-shirt. I drew a pencil line of eyeliner on the bottom lid before applying a thin layer of gell liner underneath, thickening it as it got to a tiny wing at the edge of my eye. I left my top lid bare other than a small poudering of black eye shadow in the corners toward my nose.
There wasn't much I could do about the cut on my face. It looked better kind of from yesterday but my eye was still puffed as the bruise lay underneath my pale skin. All I could do was dab some powder over the top to hide it slightly.
Ready.
I wasn't hungry, so I skipped breakfast - again.
I then left my room and went to the living room. Dad was awake but he was totally out of it. He just stared longingly at a single spot on the wall as his face showed no expression nor emotion. I began my usual routine, I picked up the empties and put them in the trash then shove some sort of breakfast in front of him. After that, I took my bag and long board and waited on the porch for Ash to come meet me.
"Bandit, what the hell happened to you?" Seth yelled as he approached my house beside Ash and Doug then scuttled over, picking me up from the porch steps and embracing me in a hug.
Asher's eyes were full of hurt and sorrow. Not because Seth was hugging me but because I was hurt and there was nothing anybody could do about it.
Doug and Ash followed him up the pathway.
"Bandit, who did this to you? I'm gonna beat the sh*t out of 'em!" Doug was furious.
"You okay?" Asher asked, taking me from Seth's arms and locking me in his own.
I nodded in response feeling like I'd burst into tears if i let a single word escape my lips. He kissed me gently on the top of my head before slightly pulling away to say, "you look amazing Bee!"
My lips curled back into a smile. "I'm just wearing jeans and a t-shirt!" I exclamed.
"That doesn't change how beautiful you are!" He whispered again.
In the mean time, Seth and Doug were still getting more worried and frustrated over the cut and bruising on my face.
"Bandit, you can tell us you know. We really do care!" Doug was prizing an explanation out of me until Asher took over.
"Some pathetic, low life, piece of sh*t decided he'd love to get his a** kicked by throwing a shard of f***ing glass at her eye. That's what happened!" Asher stated, an edge of anger peaking into his words.
