We've only got one chance to put this at an end

{Frank's P.O.V}
The doorbell echoed through the house breaking the conversation I was having with Miles.

"Hold on." I stated with a chuckle and got up from the sofa and down the hallway to the door. My hand pushed through the open space and reached for the door, pulling the handle down and close to open it up.

Instantly, I heard the rain that pelted which matched with whom was at the door. Dripping wet, from head to toe stood a 15 year old version of herself. Dressed in dark colors and makeup that had ran leaving behind paths of tears.

"Bandit?"

"Frank." Her voice danced through me but at the same time tore me apart from limb to limb.

I haven't heard off Gerard in a long time and I hadn't seen either of them in an even longer time. I'd spoken to Bandit sometimes and Jamia had taken her out before for the day but she'd never come back afterward. I think the last time I saw her was when she was nine years old. And now here she was, at my doorstep.

I stood astounded, shocked even. Footsteps formed behind me as well as a soft voice.

"Dad, who is it?" Cherry asked creeping up behind.

I couldn't form the words to speak, I just didn't know what to say or what to do.

"I-I'm sorry I, I shouldn't have come. I'm sorry!" She began to swing around picking up her stuff piled behind her.

"NO! N-no, s-stay. Please!" I stumbled reaching out to take a bag from her.

A weak smile formed on her face.

I swung round to face a curious Cherry and told her to go back to the living room where the others were then back to Bandit.

"Come on in!" I said stepping aside to allow her to come through.

She followed and closed the door behind her, following on through to where abouts I stood myself.

"Bandit, what's wrong? What's happened?" I asked with an edge of stress lingering in my voice as I watched another tear streamline down her rosey cheek. Then more followed.

"Bandit, tell me what's going on! What happened?" I asked gripping the tops of her arms in the clutch of my hands, then bringing her into a hug.

"I needed to leave, I needed to and I'm sorry Frank, I'm sorry there was no where else I could go that I trust as much as you!" She spoke so quickly it was hard to understand as she stayed wrapped up in my arms.

I tried to comfort her as best as I could. "Shh, Bandit, listen here - it's fine okay, just breath and calm down. Come with me and we can talk, okay?"

She nodded her head as the two of us pulled our of the hug and began down the hallway. I lead her to the basement, the only quiet and peaceful room of the whole house.

I opened the door and let her walk on through before I did so myself. Ladies first after all, right. It was almost like a second living room in there, somewhere Jamia and myself came to escape - our hide out basically. Bandit sat on the sofa and curled up, cuddling a cushion as she sat against the arm. I sat opposite her on the other end and we talked. She explained everything; after Linds died, how Gerard slowly faded into the depression, how he started up drinking again, then never leaving the house practically, never saying a single word to Bee or even careing a single f**k about her. That made me mad. He hardly took care of her and it shows. She explained about her school, the mark on her face (which by the way, I was ready to drive down to that school and make them pay!). Then she explained what happened before she got here and I was truly livid. Gerard has let him self go since Linds and honestly, he's one hell of a b*****d. No self respecting, loving, careing father or even man in general should ever say such a thing. Granted, there was much worse but even so, that was unforgivable! Then I looked at her again - properly, she was scared as heck. She seemed to be backing away further into the sofa arm then was actually possible. Frank, you're scaring her you idiot!

"Bee, i'm sorry. I should've been there, I should've made the effort for you kiddo!"

The next thing I know she had wrapped her arms around me tightly hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her too and hugged back. We stayed hugging for about five minutes, slowly rocking back and forth until I could heard her sobs shorten and her breathing turn to normal. She'd fallen asleep hugging me.

"Frank?" Jamia called softly from the doorway of the basement.

"It's Bandit, she's fallen asleep -" I explained quietly trying not to wake her.

Jamia nodded her head in understanding, coming toward me and then plucking Bandit gently from me. We laid her down on the sofa and lay a blanket ontop then left without a sound. I closed the door behind me as we started climbing the few steps that led up to our three children lined up infront of us with faces of utter confusion.

"We need to talk." I answered their unasked questions and pointed toward the living room.
