○Who'd I do this for Hey, me or you○
"What? What happened? Where is she?" Seth asked as he stormed into the room, Doug behind coming from another room.
"Vanished!" I snapped sitting on the bed and running my fingers through my hair. Doug took the note from beside me and read it.
"Sh*t!" He yelled p*ssed.
"Why did she go?" Seth asked not yet reading the paper.
"They're getting pretty close around here ever since her uncles came up with the bright idea to file a report. They were like three blocks away." I admitted with a sarcastic tone.
"Well I don't give a f*ck, I'm calling her and we're picking her up!" Doug sighed in frustration dialing her number and pressing his phone to his ear.
"How would she have left without being seen?" Seth chimed in again.
"I don't know Seth, dead of the night, the fact that it's amazing what a hood and long hair can hide or the fact that she's gotten herself from Jersey out here before without being seen!" I hissed.
Twice this has happened. My girl disappearing, me not by her side, not holding her hand close to mine or walking with my arm around her shoulders or her waist. I can't do this anymore. I can't keep this up. It's exhausting! Running, hiding, trying to keep her calm when there is clearly no possibility of that happening. I'm not enough to keep her happy or to keep her thinking she's safe.
Ring ring.
Ring ring.
Ring ring.
"Pick up, pick up, pick up!" Doug whispered.
"Pick up, pick up, pick up!"
Ring ring.
"Pick up!"
Ring ring.
"Pick up!"
Ring ring.
"Pick up!"
Between the phone and Doug, I couldn't handle it anymore. My head was buzzing and scenarios of this entire situation were playing, rolling on top of eachother as my mind crammed in every sound, every thought and every emotion. I couldn't do this.
I jumped up from the bed and took the phone from Doug, sliding it away from his face and hanging up the phone before throwing it to the bed where I'd just sat.
Silence.
I ran my hand down my face and exhaled deeply until I found my legs shuffling forward, out of the room and to the backdoor; the long stretch of beach and ocean before me.
I can't do this anymore.
I'm finished.
I give up.
{Gerard's P.O.V}
Frank and I had gotten a flight out to California late last night and had been joining old friends out here to search. F*cking convenient that Bob wasn't in town right now- ya know, for my criminal record at least.Various guys from various bands from around here were out to help as well as their crazy fans just out to get a picture and a f*cking hug. Police searches and the general public were out but didn't really give a damn whether she was found or not.
Naturally, if you haven't f*cking figured it out yet, I am beyond p*ssed off and salty about all of this sh*t! She's not going to come home, Frank wouldn't have even let me take her home and I've already failed at this father hood, parenting thing anyway.
Why bother?
Why f*cking bother?
Nobody here trusts me, they're all out here for themselves, that's all it is! They just want to be that hero that unites cr*ppy father with girl.
Bandit isn't my daughter, she stopped being that a long time ago.
I'm just a man, not a father.
I'm just a guy who held on too long and it's time to let go.
I've lost her.
{Frank's P.O.V}
None of the people here give a single cr*p about her! They don't even know her! Not like we do, I mean- not like I do!Mark Hoppus- never met her, heck- I haven't even met him!
Travis Barker- hadn't met her either.
Andy Biersack- didn't even know she existed.
Billie Joe Armstrong- hasn't seen her since she was 3.
Chester Bennington- didn't know she existed, had met Gerard but not Lindsey.
Kirk Hammett- last time he saw her was when Gerard brought her to a couple Warped shows.
Dexter Holland- just here to let people know he's still around.
Nobody cares! They just want to look good for press, that all this is! The only guy here who actually knows Bee is me! I'm the only one!
I should never have told Gerard to come! I'm such an idiot! Why did I even think that was going to be a good idea? Of course she'd run! She'd gotten herself out of there and all I did was put her back for f*cks sakes!
Forcing her to come home is just going to make her fall back from all this progress she was just starting to make. All this stress she's under, we've put her under; it won't have been any good for her! All we've achieved by doing this is hurt her!
For f*cks sakes! How did we not realise this? What kind of idiots didn't even think about that? Sh*t! We have to stop this! For her!
We can't do this!
Not to Bandit, she doesn't deserve any of this- everything we have and we are putting her through; it's not right!
"Everybody go home! Just go home! Neither of them want this! She won't come home like this, not if we force her to do something she's not ready for! Stop searching, just go home and forget about this!" I yelled out to anyone who would listen, anyone who would do as I asked.
I don't know about Gerard but I'm heading for the next flight home to Jersey!
We have to let go!
