Barry walked in to caitlin's room she was in a ball under the covers silantly crying barry felt sorry for her somthing was wrong he hated seeing her like this she was upset and broken he sat at the end of her bed.
He wanted to hold her and tell her everything was going to be alright but he couldn't at least not yet anyway so hesrtenely placed his hand on the bottom of one of her curled up legs and stroked it with his thumb.
"What's wrong?" Barry asked softly
Caitlin shook her head "I can't tell you" she said flatly sitting up to face him she wiped her eyes but they were still a little red and puffy.
"Why not?" He questioned
"Because... your Barry and your a guy you won't get it" caitlin muttered
"What dose it matter if I'm a guy I'm still your friend your tall handsome friend" barry gloated.
Caitlin giggled "in your dreams Allen your always going to be that goofy boy who use to pull the ribbons out of my hair and besides I have had enough men drama to last a life time" caitlin addmitted
Barry tried not to act hurt caitlin had officially put him in the friend zone.
"So you have guy trouble?" Barry asked
Caitlin sighed she knew Barry was going to get it out off her sooner or later so she desided to tell him.
"Pass me my phone"
Barry handed the shinny pink phone to her she swiped the screen a few times then showed him a picture.
It was off a not unattractive man with his arms wrapped around a woman with dark hair with the caption 'officially together 💗💏💋💘'
"So what's the problem?" Barry asked
"Well you see that bitch she was my best friend iris and the guy yeah well he's my ex we broke up 3 days ago him and iris started dating 4 weeks ago he was cheating on me with my best friend and they are not even sorry" caitlin in explained yelling a little
Barry took the phone out of her hand and turned it off then put it in his pocket "you see this well you will get it back tomorrow after we have done something fun and you enjoy your self" barry explained
"You can't do that" caitlin snapped
"Err it's my job as your new best friend now can we please go eat
dessert?" Barry said standing up and pulling her up with him.
"Fine but only because I want ice cream" caitlin replied with a smile.
They headed back into the dinning room and everyone noitced how caitlin was a little bit more like her self her smile seemed real and she was actually paying attention.
After they had finished there dinner henry and barry left and like always caitlin sat on that old porch swing and just looked up at the sky and smiled like she was remembering somthing.
Barry watched her and smiled then he walked up the porch steps and sat down next to caitlin she turned her head to him after feeling his presence "why are you here?" Caitlin asked
"I left my jacket" he anwsered
Caitlin nodded slowly "I've always liked this place the way it felt all the colours the smells the people it's nothing at all like the city it's much more... peaceful" caitlin addmitted softly.
Barry smiled at her she had a blanket draped over her shoulders and a book on her lap.
"I love it here to" barry whispered
He stood up "I'm gonna go get my jacket do you mind if I just walk in?" Barry asked
Caitlin shook her head in response so he walked in to get his jacket doreen was cleaning up the table barry smiled at her "I left my jacket caitlin said I could just walk In so" barry explained
"Thankyou barry you have always been such a good friend to my caity and I can see how much you love her" doreen said sweetly
"Oh don't worry she doesn't know about your feelings but I have seen you two be in love for nearly 15 years you have loved each other in different ways over the years but you two have always loved each other and I think you should tell her barry before its to late" she stated
"I'm not in love with caitlin" barry shot back.
"You are your just so deep in love you can't see it" The old woman chucked
Barry shook his head she was right he did love caitlin to much but she loved him like friend.
Barry walked out and sat next to caitlin on the swing she smiled at him then moved closer to him and crossed her legs underneath her after slipping her shoes of.
She rested her head on Barry's shoulder because she knew he didn't mind.
"I'm sorry for being a bitch at dinner" she sighed
"Its fine you have a right to be angry"
"No its not I shouldn't of taken it out on you and my grandmother and your father I ruined it not to mention I ran of half way through"
"But you came back"
"Its only because you made me you mske everything better all the time how do you do that?" Caitlin whispered
"because I know you so well I guess I've none you forever" barry said putting a arm around her.
Caitlin sunk into his embrace "What are we going to do tomorrow?"
"Its a suprise will doreen be home tomorrow?" Barry asked with a grin
"No she's at a meeting I think"
"Great" barry whispered
They just sat in silence for a while until barry realised caitlin had fallen a sleep on his shoulder he didn't want to wake her he gussed it was the first time in a while she hadn't cried her self to sleep.
He smiled at her sleeping face she looked so innocent how could ronnie of cheated on her she was so kind, beautiful, loving.
Then doreen came out on to the porch and saw caitlin sleeping on barry she smiled at the sight "you should probably go home your father's waiting for you" doreen whispered
"But Before you do" doreen took a picture of caitlin asleep on barry.
"Its ok I will her barry" the woman said truthfully
Barry didn't doubt this he knew she would always look after caitlin's and protect her in any way she could.
"Can I?" Barry asked making a weird hand gesture.
Doreen nodded.
And without a second thought Barry picked caitlin up cradling her in his arms as she slept her head pressed against Barry's chest making him smile he laid her down on the cool sheets made sure no one was watching then kissed her fore head "good night" he whispered
