I Love You so Much

Padmé was dreaming, a strange, almost ominous dream invaded her mind as she lied in bed that night.

She was back in her home on Naboo, the sun shone brightly through the thin curtains and the breeze flew delicately  through her her long brown curls.  She breathed in peacefully as a familiar voice called for her in the background.  She turned excitedly to see he smiling husband, only to watch in horror as the air grew immensely hot and the floor began to melt away.  Anakin continued to smile as the melted floor turned yellowish orange and the heat only intensified.  She was struggling to breathe as the color of the ground reflected her beloved husband's eyes.  The beautiful blue was completely gone as his smile soon turned to a sneer. 

"What's the matter Padmé?  You're afraid, I can sense it.  Don't you love me?"

Padmé noticed that her chocking had only gotten worse as she watched the sneer leave his face.  Anakin had a severe look of despair as Padmé tried to call out, only for no sound to escape her closing throat.

"Answer me Padmé!  I did this all for you!"

Padmé burst out of her slumber, soaked in sweat.  As she calmed herself, she looked over at the clock which read 6:00.  She heard movement in the kitchen as she prepared to leave her bed.  Anakin was eating a fast breakfast and watching news of the war on the Holonet, when she smiled and walked over to him.  Anakin dropped everything and joined her in excitement.  After kissing each other Padmé attempted to discuss her nightmare, as Anakin had sensed something wrong, but she just couldn't remember the contents.

"It just seemed so real, yet all I can remember is the fear-"

"Hush now, you're alright.  Besides I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you, I love you Padmé!"

Padmé hated that Anakin had cut her off, but she halted trying to remember the dream even more so she let it slide.  She embraced her husband lovingly as he comforted her.  She looked up into his deep blue eyes and smiled as she proclaimed,

"I love you so much."

Though the words were short and simple, they rang through the apartment until Anakin's Comm began to ring as well.  Padmé watched longingly as Anakin walked out the front door, as she herself prepared to leave in an hour or so with Threepio.
