It has been years since you have last seen your beloved Romulus. It's been years since he suddenly disappeared. Your life was filled with joy and laughter, but now it is filled with sadness and anger. You are angry that he left with no explanation. Angry that he can't be found. Your heart breaks every time you see the pictures the two of you carved together out of stone.

Soon enough, the leaves began to change color and the coldness of the day turned bitter. The leaves turned the colors of mangoes, red and gold. Lawns were littered with the beautiful leaves as the trees danced in the wind. You were bundled up in a warm sweater and wearing knee high brown boots. Your scarf flew in the wind as you walked to your silver Tundra that had four-wheel drive.

When you opened the door a flashback came to you and your breathing stopped . . . You were sitting in the grass with Romulus. he was playing with your hair as you hummed a  traditional song. The wind picked up and tugged at you toga. You giggled as Romulus nuzzled your neck as the wind grew stronger.  "Rom, we have to go. My father will not approve of my being late." You told him as he held you in his arms.

"No, he can wait." He whispered as he hugged you tightly. You sighed and leaned back in his embrace. A few minutes had past when you finally got up from your lover's arms. "Romulus, I have to go! My father will be furious when he finds out I broke curfew!"  You exclaimed as Romulus tried to pull you towards him. Romulus looked into your eyes and sighed as he took your hand in his. "Okay, but I shall walk you home." He answered as your fingers intertwined with his. You smiled and pecked his cheek.

A tear slid down your cheek as you closed the door and started the car. Your mind swarmed with past memories and emotions. You missed Romulus so much it hurt. When you arrived at your destination a leaf fell in front of your face and landed on your nose. You picked it up and gazed at it sadly. Words were carefully written on it in a familiar writing. A smile reached your lips as you read Romulus' note to you. I'm coming back my love, I hope you haven't forgotten me. -Rom
