A scary older person, he is,
tall and confident,
a wonder, he is.
A scary older person, he is,
silent and committing,
amazing, he is.
Through courage and wit,
I inch a bit closer,
and suddenly, he isn't scary anymore.
Suddenly, he is amazing,
A prodigy hidden within,
loving music, he is.
Suddenly, he is friendly,
Piano tying us together,
three years separating us.
Suddenly, I am lost,
my worth depleting,
but of course, I keep smiling.
