What is a broken heart?
Is it a physical thing
Or a feeling inside?

Can it be fixed with glue
Or must it be band-aids?
Why is a broken heart?
Why something I feel
When we are apart?
Why is a broken heart?
Something I acknowledge,
Though I would rather not.

Is it the feeling of pain
Down deep inside.

Is it the knowing you've lost
Something you'll not gain?
Why is a broken heart?
A thing I wonder for,
Something I must know.
Why is a broken heart?
Making me cry,
Wishing I could die.
What is a broken heart?
Is it the feeling of losing
Even though I've yet to try?
What is a broken heart?
Is it this feeling I feel deep inside?
The feeling I've no room in your heart?
Ah, that's right.
This is a broken heart.
