"Why'd you let her stay here? She's probably going to kill me in my sleep: 

with you probably helping her!"

"That's a smart idea, thanks I'll make sure to right that down on my calendar for Wednesday at 11 o'clock." I sarcastically said grabbing my textbooks in my arms and stepping on a chair attempting to place it on the wall shelf

"Hey! What are you doing!--Are you crazy you're going to fall and break your neck Shiloh!" August hissed helping me down from the chair back onto the dark wooden floor

"I'm sorry I'm short."

August rolled his almond eyes at me,
"You could've asked me."

"I couldn't because you were to busy, kindly helping Lea to her room." I smirked looking as he squinted his eyes at me, his jaw clenching.

"You were the one who requested her to be on this floor with us!" He complained but made sure to keep his voice low so she couldn't hear him

"Stop being a jerk, grow some balls. Plus she's like the only family that I have left." I choked out trying to sound happy about it; but failed. I looked away from august trying to hide the
tears that threatened to spill.

Just thinking about my family,
makes my heart stop.

I quickly wiped away the tears, grabbing the rest of the books into my arms and turning back to my mate, his usual hard face was now soft.

"What's wrong? Is it what I said? Because if it is Lea can stay here all she wants."

I gave him a weak smile, "No, everything is fine. Can you just place the rest of my
books up there please?"

He slowly nodded his head before taking the heavy textbooks from my hands and easily reached up and set them down with the others.

Without saying another word to him, I walked out of our room into the empty hallway, where the top ranks of the infinite pack slept.

I shuffled my way to the room where my friend was staying: four doors down from us. I slowly rose my fist and gently knocked on the door, echoing through the empty hallway.

"Lea it's Shiloh."

I hear shushes and talking behind the door making me furrowing brows together, is there someone else in there with her ?

"I'll just leave you alone then." I quipped before walking away from her door and to the elevator,  where I pressed the button for the first floor.

The doors open and I walked out and realized, I don't know where I'm going. I just started wandering around the pack house earning strange looks from pack members. I finally see a refrigerator, at least I found the kitchen.

I spot a few people around the kitchen and large dining room . I walk past them and go into the pantry to grab a bag of Cheetos before walking out.

Everyone here just looks at me; every time I walk by their conversations pause.

I then find my way outside to the garden, the bushes and trees were trimmed perfectly. The flowers bloomed beautiful making me smile.
