The police department was in a chaotic state. Prisoners were braught in, being interrogated and put into holding cells and finally behind bars. Not only were the prisoners part of the numerous radical movements, some were pure criminals who often stole from their masters or were caught in the streets after curfew, but nonetheless the department was busy.

Amongst them was Mr Muller seated at his desk in his office; a steaming cup of coffee beside him and piles of boxes full of case files surrounded his desk. It was rumoured that there'd be an attack from the radical movements in the city soon, and he had to make sure his sources were correct with the details, before forming the right defence tactics for the job. Things were getting out of hand, so much so that John couldn't go home until he got to the bottom of each case. He was drowning in case files when a knock at the his door interrupted him. "Ja, kom in." he commanded without glancing at the invited guest.

"Maneer," a familiar voice said and John finally looked up. Jaco was new to the scene, a new comer fresh from training and was more than eager to get his hands dirty, especially when it came to weaponry; but John felt he wasn't quite ready yet, so he put him on the sidelines until the time was right. Jaco smiled respectbly and placed yet another ordinary brown file before John. "more suspects, sir." Jaco explained and without a response from John he left him in peace. John released a heavy sigh, he wouldn't be going home just yet. He leaned back in his chair and rubbed his eyes, which were strained from long hours of reading in dimly lit lamps. Thinking he'd probably need to make another mug of black coffee he stood up from his chair and stalked over to the mini table beside his desk and fixed himself a cup. The bitter the better, the bitterness would keep him awake and focused.

With the fan constantly blowing in full force he didn't notice several pages flying out from their respective files until he was done fixing up his coffee. His gaze floated to the pages on the floor and he mentally cursed. He bent down to pick them up, when one page stuck out amongst the rest, another suspect list. Several names had photographs to match the people listed, but one was a drawing of a woman that looked rather familiar to John. He frowned in confusion observing her blonde wavy hair and sligthly masculine cheekbones, her eyes were large and the stern expression on her face struck something eery in him.

John clenched his jaws, so much his teeth could be pushed right back inside his gums. Whoever the sketch artist was, he really knew how to capture his wife to the Tee; and that seemed to make John's cheeks rise in temperature. Below her portrait was a short description of her the crimes she'd been apart of. alledged spy... anti-apartheid resistance group... Terrorist attacks... these were a lot of allegations to simply overlook and when he looked at her name, something dangerous sparked in him.

Magaret Olivier.

John was confused, overwhelmed by the information that he found, but still wasn't able to put the pieces of the puzzled together; when suddenly it clicked. All those days she'd been away from home, designing or having lunch with friends...what if she wasn't doing any of those things? Those nights he'd come home exhausted and he'd openly tell her about the cases he was dealing with...she wasn't just comfortting John, she was listening to get ahead. She made it seem like she was that loving, supportive wife who seemed contempt with her marriage and life, who never complained about her husband and always obeyed and respected him. He thought he had her wrapped around his finger, but really it was the other way around. She was using him, manipulating his mind and every decision he made for them, the family.
