Abu Ya'la Shaddad ibn Aus, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said: "Verily, Allah has enjoined excellence (ihsan) with regard to everything. So, when you kill, kill in a good way; when you slaughter, slaughter in a good way; so everyone of you should sharpen his knife, and let the slaughtered animal die comfortably."

After she had finished praying fijr Aysha went back to sleep not being fully awake. She cocooned herself in her blanket feeling as comfortable as ever. The vibration of her phone startled her and she lazily looked around for it on the bed. She found it under the many fluffy pillows, how it ended up there is a mystery even to her.

She struggled to clearly open her eyes not liking the sudden brightness coming from the phone. Private Number was written in bold on the phone's screen, making her senses to come back to her all at once. She shakily drew a deep breath before answering.

"I guess you've seen the video?" that same voice that has been taunting her asked.

"What do you want?" She asked her voice resigned.

"Simple. For the wedding to be called off"

"I'm sorry. But I can't. I seriously can't do anything. Do you think I want this? If it were up to me I would have backed away from this marriage from day 1. I freaking hate this but guess what? I can't fucking do anything about it. My hands are freaking tied, I'm tired and exhausted of all this. And it will do all of us good if you'll please blackmailing me" she all but shouted.

"I don't care" he answered his voice calm and easeful.

"Well then you know what? You can just go and fuck yourself" she shouted to the man before hanging up.

She was angry, agitated and enraged but above all that she was afraid and scared. It might not be an emotion many people like to show because its a form of weakness but its alive in every human being, only some have the strength to overpower it while some don't.

Beneath her angry exterior lies a frail and fragile girl that is lost, she has no idea of what to do and she just needed someone to tell her it was all going to be alright and mean it too.

The waterworks began as she laid completely clueless of what her next step should be. She started to regret snapping at her blackmailer, what if he does something bad in a fit of anger, like put up the video online.

She decided to get back to the video to see if she could find a loophole. She realised whoever edited this was smart because she couldn't find one, the editing was smartly done in a way that no one could see the man's face.

She ran her hand through her bed-nest hair, a sign of resignation as she flopped her phone somewhere on the bed.

"Aysha" the angry voice of Abba, her father thundered around the house in an echo. Her heart beat skipped a mile as she thought of what could've made him angry this early morning. She shakily stood up from the bed but then paused she took a look at her dressing. She was wearing a monrow satin night dress so she slipped into the first robe she saw which was a Ralph Lauren lounge robe.

She quietly opened her door and looked around the narrow hallway trying to locate where the sound of Abba's voice came from.

She could hear faint shouting so she followed the sound which lead her to Abba's office.

She took a deep breath before slightly knocking on the door. She heard a gruffed 'come in' before she quietly opened the door. Her father was pacing around while her mother was sitting on the sofa rubbing her temples with her fingers, they both looked tired and stressed. Hajiya Iya was looking at her with distaste shaking her head.

"Oh, come in. We were just waiting for you" her father said.

"Abba why?" She answered in a timid voice. A Macbook was shoved to her face and she watched as the video played. It was the edited video, the video her blackmailer sent to her. Her eyes were wide with shock, her body was shivering and the room just got a lot more colder.

"Abba, I can explain" her voice was shaking she was barely holding herself from crying.

"Explain what? How you were busy getting intimate with another man. How you were doing that when you knew your marriage was fixed, when you knew it was haram. How dare you? How dare you try to taint our family's reputation?" Her father thundered, she had never seen him this angry.

She heard it before she felt it, a slap. Her father had slapped her for the first time in her life for something she hadn't even done. Her head whipped to the side as she nearly fell to the ground because of the impact of the slap and she let the tears to fall.

Her mother abruptly stood up and rushed to her helping her stand straight. She held her by the shoulder. "Haba. Calm down. Why will you slap her? You haven't even heard her side of the story? I know my daughter wouldn't do that."

"Gwara ki barshi. How dare she try to do that, haven't you taught her good etiquettes? Ache yarinya data fito daga gidan mutunci tana iskanci agari. A girl that came out of a respectable house doing this time of act around town. Or didn't you think we will come to find out? What he did to her was small to what I could've done to her had it been she's my daughter" Hajiya Iya said further fuelling the anger Abba was feeling.

"Haba, jika ma ai kamar 'ya ce. Your granddaughter is like your child. You have the right to discipline her in anyway" Abba said.

"OK well I think this shouldn't be let out to the public. You should find the person that sent this and pay him money to shut his mouth. As for her, we should move the wedding closer, we can't afford having her running around with her boyfriends" at that moment she had never hated anyone as hard as the woman she was forced to call a grandmother. Move the wedding closer? As if it wasn't even close to begin with. It was like the woman was sent on earth to prevent Aysha from being happy.

"I guess you're right, let me see what I can do" Abba nodded his eyes before moving to the extreme end of the room to make a phone call, not before glaring at Aysha which such force that it caused her to sob.

"Allah wadarai. Dama dai, you don't expect to take a girl to the western part of the world and not have her to behave like them" Hajiya Iya shook her head before exiting the room.

Mama took Aysha by the shoulder before taking her back to her room. Aysha continued sobbing even as she laid on her bed with mama consoling her.
