I blinked down at my class list, and the slowly looked up at Chef Laurent. "You think you're funny." I was referring to my rank in culinary arts, 'dishwasher'.

"Oh I'm hilarious, but that's what you are at the moment. You'll earn your way up. How is your Tea Shop?" He asked, curious.

"Actually doing really well. I'm mostly selling Herbs and Tea Leaves right now, but a few of the Students have started to drink Tea there. I'm thinking of adding Coffee to the selection, to attract more of them." I nodded.

"And the restaurant?" He asked.

"... it needs a real menu. At the moment, it just serves basic meals, easy things. When I'm better, I'll upgrade the menu. And it's good for Delano's business, which is a plus." I smiled.

He hummed. "I'll teach you some basic menu items that should please them this Saturday, so you can teach your cooks."

I frowned. "What cooks? I do the cooking, Mirage Brews the Tea, and Sir Gareth and Sir Dunwal manage security. That's the entire staff."

"Then use some more Knights as Cooks. They already know a bit about cooking, yes?" He shrugged.

"They are Knights, not Slaves to use like that. Don't be so insensitive, please." I sighed.

He smiled. "But they are servants... Fine, understood. Why not pay them, if you're worried about Slavery? A decent wage to act as a cook, and then hire a student or two who needs a job as a server. I know just who to train your staff, if you need it."

I hummed. "Actually... that sounds really smart... I'll get on that. I have two months left until class starts, so I think I can manage it."

He nodded. "I'm sure you can. I have business to attend to, however, so call if you need, but I must be off!" He strode out of my Kitchen with purpose.

I sighed and sat down in my room, doodling a labyrinth in my grimoire. I was aware of it creating itself, as another marble in the Pool, connected to another door in my Shop, but that was fine.

I created a gravitational Anomaly, allowing certain floors and such to have different gravitational pulls. Meaning I might be going up the stairs, and then find myself suddenly upside down, but still walking fine.

Certain rooms had completely tricky fields that changed every ninety seconds, and others changed at random, while still others changed according to the moon, and then more changed according to my mood.

I continued creating more insane cycles for the gravity, and then started making each room disconnect from itself, and soon I had 999 separate marbles, all connected by portals.

The portals changed destinations according to a randomized sequence that came from the rolling of a dice. Six sequences, and the sequence changed every day, though there was a 1/6 chance it didn't change at all.

Then I made one big marble, stuffed all 999 marbles into it, and created a seventh sequence, specifically for when I knew someone had broken in.

In the Seventh Sequence, water filled the entire marble, and all portals turned off, especially the Exit. If you opened a door, you were flooded. If you managed to get the water out and close the door, you'd have a limited supply of oxygen, only 4 hours worth, if there was one person.
