Also, MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!! :D

Hours passed, with still no word from either Hansen. I paced my room in every crevice that wasn’t covered with stuff. I’m sure I was ruining the floor, and my shoes, but I didn’t care, I needed to let off some steam or else I’d explode.

Finally not being able to wait anymore, I threw on a new sweater, as I took mine off while I paced, and headed for the door. Unlocking it, it flew open when I activated it. When I looked up, I saw someone’s fist up, like they were about to knock. I followed the fist to the owner’s face and let my sigh of relief flow obviously.

There stood Chuck Hansen, all showered up and in clean clothes. There was even some droplet’s of water on his neckline where he’d obviously didn’t dry off all the way in his haste to get somewhere. He shot me a smile and moved his fist to lean on my doorframe.

“Hey beauti-” I interrupted him but throwing my arms around him and hugging his neck tightly.

With a small gasp of surprise and a second of awkwardness, Chuck wrapped his arms around my middle and pulled me flush against him. His nose buried into my neck and he breathed in slowly, letting it out just as slowly. I was just expecting our first hug to be a few second, pull away and move on thing, but it was warming my whole body and soul. And neither of us were pulling away anytime soon.

When we heard footsteps down one of the near halls, Chuck let out a frustrated sigh and pulled away from me, shooting me another smile.

“You guys scared the shit out of me! Why did you take so long to get back?!” I shouted, smacking his chest roughly. He didn’t even act like I’d hit him.

“We had to get special transport back. Striker might need some more TLC.” Groaning, I leaned my hip on the doorframe, throwing my hands up.

“Great, more work for me.” I moaned, trying to make it seem like I hated it. But he knew better. He knew how much I loved working on Striker.

“But you’re the best at giving it out.” Chuck continued smoothly and I shot him a smile.

“Can I come in?” Motioning his head towards my room, I quickly moved from the doorframe so he could come in.

    “Yea, sure.”

Chuck stepped almost gingerly into my room, stepping into it for the first time. Not saying a word, he took in the surroundings I lived in. My tools had accumulated and were tucked along whole left wall, from corner to corner. My bed was pressed into the middle of the right wall with a door to the private bathroom in the far right corner while my mirror and sink were on the other side of the bed on that same wall.

“Woah, I wasn‘t expecting this.” Chuck concluded.

“What?” I asked, looking around. It didn’t look strange to me at all, of course I lived here.

“All these pictures.” I made an ‘O’ shape with my mouth after he’d said it.

I did have pictures on every available wall space. They were spaced out, of course but that didn’t mean there weren’t hundreds of them. Lots of them were from Alaska, and I had plenty of new additions from Sydney’s beauty.
