"What the hell were you thinking?" Ruben asked as I walked through the door.

"Spare me the lecture, my dad already took a shot at me" I shouted as I strolled passed a worried Ruben who quickly followed behind.

"You're getting careless now and pretty soon you're going to slip up" he replied as he walked next to me.

I groaned in frustration as I made my way to the kitchen before chewing on a couple of grapes. I sighed deeply while running my hands through my hair, thinking of the events that had taken place.

"Ms Belmonte, you're father requested that you join him for dinner tonight " our elderly butler James said as he peered into the room.

I huffed in annoyance before letting out a small "okay". He nodded over at me before slightly tilting his head as he continued to peer over at me while I ate grapes.

"What?" I asked, noticing his lingering look before he let out what sounded like a disappointed sigh.

"Your father informed me of your recent 'adventures', I know it is not my place but Ms Belmonte you must be careful." he lectured, his aged face creased in worry. "Not everybody out there has your best intentions at heart like your father".

"I know" I replied, watching as he nodded his head before walking off.

"Maybe you should take a nap" Ruben suggested quietly.

I rolled my eyes before walking over to the window and observing the darkened forest, the view was the same as it always was and yet it still managed to calm me.

"Come on Kitty Kat, you need some sleep. You can't plot if you're tired, besides your father would personally kill me if you weren't in good health" Ruben persuaded as he guided me away from the window and slowly ushered me up the stairs.

"Fine but wake me up in a few hours, I don't need my father being more mad at me if I miss dinner" I mumbled to him before trotting off, my heels clinking throughout the house with each step before I finally collapsed onto my bed and allowed sleep to succumb me.

. . .

The club was buzzing with people, the grand opening of 'The Sirens'. I smiled in greeting at the various patrons before laughing as I caught sight of Evan dancing wildly on the dancefloor while Evie was filming it, most likely for blackmail. Blaze was sitting with Ruben by the bar, a small smile on his face as he watched the various people enjoying themselves. I strutted over towards them, taking a seat next to Ruben.

"Pretty good turnout" I laughed as Blaze smiled in agreement.

My short black dress hung off my figure with a tight top however the skirt was flowing, allowing me the chance to move freely. I drank down the rest of Ruben's drink before monitoring the crowd. My eyes landed on a figure, he was tall with piercing blue eyes and black hair which stood out due to his pale complexion. I couldn't help but watch him as he stood by one of the high top tables, a drink in hand however he was alone. As though he could feel my gaze, he glanced over in my direction. He smirked in response before looking away, the smirk still loitered on his face. A tap on my arm drifted me away from the mysterious stranger a I looked at Blaze who had one eyebrow raised in questioning. I winked at him before drowning down another shot.

"Kat, come on you have to dance!" Evie shouted over to me, her voice slightly slurred.

I laughed before allowing myself to be pulled up and over to the dance floor. I giggled as Evie started dancing next to me, her moves completely random and wild. I started swaying my hips to the beat as the song turned upbeat, I was having the time of my life. While I was dancing, I couldn't help but spare a glance over at the mysterious stranger, however he was already looking at me, a breath-taking smile on his face. I don't know why but it was like I couldn't look away. I quickly cut the eye contact before looking back over towards Evie who was now forcing a reluctant Ruben to dance with her while Blaze laughed silently at the bar. As I continued dancing, I felt a strong presence behind me before strong arms slightly wrapped around my waist. I peered over my shoulder to meet those sharp blue eyes. He let out a brief chuckle before continuing to dance with me. I could feel myself getting lost in the music before hearing him softly whisper in my ear.

"You got a name beautiful?"

I sighed softly before gently swaying with the music as I responded with "Katrina"

He gently laid his head in the crook of my neck.

"Rin"
. . .

"Time to wake up sleepy head" a voice gently muttered near me.

I slowly blinked my eyes before letting out a small yawn, the blurry image slowly cleared to Ruben who sat next to me.

"Sleep well?" he questioned.

"Like a log, what time is it?" I groaned.

"It's time to get ready for dinner"
