I woke up to a horrible stinging sensation in my left leg. I had had a nightmare about a rat turning into Peter Pettigrew and trying to attack me.

I couldn't hear anyone around me, so I took the opportunity to stare up at the ceiling, assessing my pain. The only pain that I could feel at the moment was in my left leg, and while it didn't hurt as bad as it did before I passed out, I didn't think that I would be walking on it anytime soon.

After a while, I heard some raised voices coming from the hallway outside of what I assumed to be the Hospital Wing.

"I don't know why in the absolute Merlin you insist on having the truth ignored Albus," a voice that I immediately recognized to be Narcissa Malfoy's. "The Hippogriff that attacked Miss Evans was grey, not black. And it was told to attack her."

"That is completely preposterous," Professor Dumbledore told her. "You are believing the story fabricated by your son, who has a habit of making something out of nothing."

"Why don't we ask Miss Evans?" Lucious chimed in. "She should be awake soon. She will be able to tell us more about what happened."

"Very well," Dumbledore said, not sounding at all pleased. "I must ask you not to traumatize her with unnecessary questions."

"We won't," Cissa said before the door into the room swung open.

I immediately shut my eyes at the bright light that started coming into the room, and I heard someone beside me waking up.

"Why doesn't he believe us?" Theo said, sounding very tired.

"He doesn't want to believe, or he is covering up the fact, that Hagrid intentionally hurt her," Cissa said. "How does it look?"

"No different than it did 20 minutes ago," Dad said.

I was very grateful to everyone who was in the Hospital Wing to support me, but I really just wanted to be alone again (or what I thought was alone). It is much more peaceful, and it felt less stressful than it did now. I heard another door open, this time from inside the Wing.

"I need to change her bandages," an older woman announced to the room. "If you could all wait outside while I do so, that would be fantastic."

Everyone begrudgingly started making their way toward the door into the hallway.

"If you need any help," Lucious said. "We are out here."

The door shut, and I could feel a ward go up that seemed to create a sound barrier between the Hospital and the hallway, something that they would definitely notice quickly.

"You can open your eyes, Miss Evans," the lady said.

I slowly opened them and looked over in the direction where I heard the voice coming from.

"Hello dear," she said. "My name is Madam Pomfrey. I am the nurse here at Hogwarts. Could you please describe to me how you are feeling?"

"My leg hurts," I told her quietly. "And the rest of my body is very stiff. Would it be possible for me to sit up?"

"Of course, dear," she said, smiling slightly at me. "Let me help you."

"What happened?" I asked her, once I was in a more upright position.

"That Hippogriff, the one that the Potter boy was forced to fly on, it attacked you," Madam Pomfrey said quietly, adjusting the bandage on my leg. "If it hadn't of been for the one you were standing with, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation."
