She was examining herself in the full length mirror placed inside her room.She was looking perfect in her bridal dress.It was when she heard some sort of voices.Loud, panicked voices and the sound of people arguing.Not again,she thought to herself rolling her eyes.People had been arguing all day over the smallest of things.The decorations,the food almost everything heated up an argument between her father and Aunt( buaji).
She got up watch through the balcony ignoring the increasingly loud voices that had started to come from the hallway.She fidgeted her dress ofcourse it was hard being in it but it made her feel and look gorgeous.Not seeing a clue of Aryan and his family's arrival Sanyukta came back to the mirror.Eventually examining herself again when suddenly her father and Aunt stormed right in without a knock.Worry was etched on to their features.Her father was looking haunted and scared
"What happened?"Sanyukta asked staring in his dad's eye,her heart racing a mile
He didn't answered,he looked like he didn't have the courage to answer her.Sanyukta turned to her Aunt Pallavi
"Sanyukta,Aryan send this"she said holding a writing paper
Sanyukta grabbed the paper with shaking hands.
The incident that took place in the mall was able to shake my brain.Instead of going back to home I went to the same mall again and investigated to the core but no clue was found.I went to all the places about which complained but everywhere I got the same reply-"Noone was seen". Remember the day I took you to the hospital for a health checkup it wasn't any normal health check up instead it was a mental checkup.I don't know how to say this but I have to no matter how much I don't want to, You have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia.It is a disease in which a person interpret reality abnormally and the saddest part is, it lasts lifelong.
I know I am not doing a right thing but my parents aren't supporting me to marry you atleast not when I have known the fact.I wish you all the best for your life but sorry I can't marry you.Goodbye !
A smirk of defeat,pain,hate formed on Sanyukta's lips covered by the blood red lipstick
"Sanyukta,I am sorry for choosing such a loser for you"Kishore said with guilt and anger ranging from his eyes
"Let's go down to make people aware of the truth"she asked her dad with neutral expression although a storm was formed in heart
"Sanyukta,we'll take care of that you stay here.Its alright dear"her aunt said in a comforting tone trying to force a smile
Without another word she walked past them and neither kishore nor her aunt tried stoping her.She went down alone making the crowd wonder.Coming on the stage without hesitating she announced "The marriage is being cancelled,you all may leave"she said in matter-of-fact tone
The statement gave all of them a controversial topic.There was hustle and bustle and everyone was trying to understand the reason behind this announcement.When everybody was busy questioning her character,a voice from behind shut their mouth "Will you marry me Sanyukta agarwal?"it was not a comman voice,it was a voice that never asked rather commanded,it was the voice of the millionaire Randhir Singh Shikhawat.
For Sanyukta it was a familiar voice as she have listened it many a times.Sanyukta looked for the brave person here and there and when he came in the front her eyes remained open.Kishore who was standing behind here failed to accept the reality
"Mr.shikhawat"she whispered
"Will you marry me?"Randhir asked again with the same confidence,even though it was a question but it did sound like a command
"My groom left me because I am a mental patient "she said in a shabby way
"My question is still the same"he replied
"Yes why not?, Sanyukta is ready"her buaji spoke before Sanyukta and immediately kishore gave a stun look to his sister making her walk back.
"Mr.shikhawat,we know you are very good human and being an intellect human you must understand the meaning of marriage.It is true that her groom had betrayed her but it won't be justifying to tell her to marry anyone in this state of shock"kishore negotiated coming forward but before this conversation could have started
"I am ready"she replied,bringing in an awkward silence
