I put t on my black shoes and my necklace.

"good luck hug?" I said opening my arms.

alex hugged me tightly.

"don't be scared," he said.

emery was picking me up soon, we had dinner reservations and where going on a walk through this forest place.

the doorbell rang and alex answered it.

I walked down and smiled when I saw him.

"ready?" emery said.

"I'll text you when I'm on my way back alex," I said.

"okay, Aidan and Chloe will be here." he said.

"one last hug?" I smiled.

"just one?" he said.

we tightly hugged.

minutes later emery and I arrived at the dinner place.

"bailee why are you nervous? you've been on millions of dates with me." emery said after we ordered our drinks.

"I just don't want anything to change." I said.

"bailee, what's changing?" he said.

I looked at him shocked.

"everything, emery, everything's changing." I said looking at him in disbelief.

"bailee it's our one year. where not arguing." he said.

"emery I'm not arguing with you I'm talking to you, I'm scared." I said.

"bailee I'm sorry but you could've come home, with me. you chose to stay here." emery said looking away.

"I didn't have a choice, my mom and Kayla want to move here!" I said.

"okay, whatever," he said.

we got our food and ate in silence.

"why don't we skip the hike thing go sit by the beach and talk, it's dark." emery said.

I shook my head.

"bailee," he said.

"don't be mad at me." he said.

"emery, I'm not mad. I'm eating." I said.

emery paid for dinner.

"thank you." I smiled.

it was silent.
